eBay asking for ID on a stealth will this work

Hi I use an eBay Stealth account in the UK, I have not been asked for ID yet but I know it’s coming so want to prepare. Right now the details are real, but not my details. When they ask for ID can I change the name, address to mine and then provide my actual ID to get verified? Then can I change them back or is it fine to just keep them as my details at that point? Thanks

If you enter yours then you don’t need to send them passport since they can match your detail from soft search if you change back then they will ask ID

you can't just simply change your details and provide ID - this mismatch will cause issues

it is possible on an unverified account , I would not do it on an established account that has been selling for a long time and was verified without asking for ID

ID is not requested on most accounts if details can be verified through credit agencies but active sellers will need to provide ID's later so eventually it is only small time sellers with small volumes who have the option to avoid ID upload long term
