8 years account suspended
 

last night they suspended my 8 years account. I know this will happen one day. On Nov received their ID verify request and from that they put a red banner. From last month, they hold my payments but still let me do business. After one month when I have around 4K in the account, they suspend the account and all the money will be gone to a ebay safe account for state collecting. Of course the account is a very old stealth one I am not able to verify anything...

Really ****ty, I should stop shipping one month ago right after they hold the money.

Just to let everyone know here, do not ship if you can't verify the account. Money will be gone.

He said it is an old account(8 years),he probably no longer has any way to give Ebay what it asked for.

was there a bank account on the acct OP? Maybe money will be transferred over after 60-72 days

There must be a bank account linked,as it is 8 years old and he was selling up to now,so past sales proceeds from prior year and JAN 23 must have been deposited into that bank account.
if tracking shows delivered,Ebay could release the fund and send it to the bank account,nothing has changed,it is still the same seller account and same bank account,but he probably cant use that account anymore

The bank account is all fine, legit company bank checking. The problem is the account identity can't be verified, so they asked me to request it from state collecting. Here I just want to remind other sellers who has similar accounts, please stop shipping once they hold the money. If you can't verify the identity, all the money will be gone.

It is not gone if it is sent to the STATE,but how can one collect $$ if the state asks for ID?

If you get a payment hold on an account that can not be verified, stop shipping the orders and dump the account, whoever has the money you are not getting it back.

Yes you are correct.

That's why I wanted to confirm with my experience to other sellers here, do not ship anymore if you can't verify the account and the payment is on hold, it's not like PayPal 180 days.

No. Products are all fine, nothing about the copyright. Never got suspended on this.

No,they asked for ID verification in Nov and he never give them but keep on selling..
They give him 3 months to respond

with 4K it would have been easier to just change account details to yourself or to any relative of yours and provide ID

Then at the very least whatever funds are held should be released within the 90days

No, it's going to move to a ebay "account" and I have to request state collect. That's how they wrote me.

I don't know if pigs fly but you can change details on ebay if no ID was uploaded in the past

when they ask for ID this can be considered the last chance to come clean and provide correct details

The last chance was removed when eBay informed him they were sending the funds to federal/state where they can claim the money back. The only concern here is if the claimant has not paid federal or state tax they can be fined or investigated or if they have broken any state or federal laws creating the account. It may be best to let sleeping dogs lie.
