What phone service are you using? What IP source are you using?

I am currently reusing those same numbers that got me those selfie verification issues. They are going through on new accounts.

Accounts that have been sitting for a month or two get suspended within 30 minutes.

IF it is Tmobile, nix it. Never had good results with Tmobile numbers or IPs. They seem to be abused.

Sweet spot seems to be Verizon or ATT.

I have nothing to do but wait. If eBay continue suspending account in 30 minutes or asking for id, I have to leaving this platform.

With eBay for selling for 12 years. It is the most challenging time.

I know someone may said "make an ID". Keep in mind that you may still get "reactive message" or suspension very soon after you get your selfie ID verified successfully. That means you will waste money for making those ID.

All the ID should be scannable ID or passport. Verification was not by eBay but by a third party called Veriffi. It won't pass If you just PS it. They don't support ID upload and it has to be live photo of your ID. Also you won't pass if you make a physical ID. They will read the barcode of the ID on the back and it won't pass if you barcode cannot be read.

There are scanable ID for selling in the market, asking for 80 to 100 dollars. As I said, you won't know if this account will be alive even you pass the selfie after spending the money to make scannable ID.

If eBay keep asking selfie, stealth is dead.

Try to go slowly in the account startup process. Don't post so fast. that could help you improve on recovered accounts

For USA accounts, I don't like hotspots.

I just stick with IPburger . I used to use the modem reset trick, but I ran out of IP after a while

Just tell everyone if you get succeed. If not, your advice makes no sense. I saw you left a few replies in this thread but none of them is practical.

At the end of this, the only way to continue selling if they request ID is to create accounts with real people or at least real photos and real people for the selfie.

If that is going to be the norm, expect less sellers. People already do not want to give their SSN when asked for it. Now giving up an ID just to sell.

Will be waiting for eBay to plunge further until they realize what they are doing isn't working.

His advice is actually a good one. You don't just make an account then go all out immediately. It's a norm we take it slow on new accounts to build histpry

You are silly to cover him. ALL the experienced sellers know that waiting for a few months is good for new account. This is common sense. He was telling something that everyone knows, but never with an outcome of success by doing so.

He gave me a screenshot show eBay reinstated his account after he completed the selfie verification. The date shows in the screenshot was Feb 30th, 2024. lol.

Stop scamming members or change to another username Pls. Your user name has been noticed.

Try creating the accounts now. Security seems low since I am not getting hit as often as I did at the start of the week.

I am getting 1 selfie request for every 10 accounts I make.

If you are still getting it, it is most definitely the phone or IP.

Are you for sure in the USA? I know you said you use a sim and hotspot but never mentioned which one.

don't know what you mean by that. You don't need to add an SSN when you turn a buyer account into a seller.

It's only when you sell is when they require the last 4 digits.

This is a real issue. I've been doing this since day 1 and something changed. Most likely the way the accounts are setup is the main issue.

Edit: Make sure everything is setup properly and this might be interesting, but it could be the item itself you are listing. I was able to list a random item just fine. Will look into this more
