I got my account restricted, the usual BS allowed me to continue selling for another 40+ days, the ones that were live stayed up, but didnt auto renew after the pre restriction listing went the full 30 days.
Items that were live continued selling, accumulating funds on hold. Now, I have over $4000 tied up. I was expecting the account to get reinstated, but nope, permanently restricted. Not suspended as they are allowing me to continue buying if I want, just not selling. The issue I see is that since it's restricted, managed payments aren't releasing funds. Will it automatically release after 180 days from the day it was initially restricted? That was back in November 2023. Or is it 180 days after the appeal was denied and permanently restricted? Or will they just say FU and keep my funds?
was restricted due to INR cases.

How do they know if all your buyers have received their items?
You provide tracking?
He said $4k.
If buyer files a chargeback, you pay $20 chargeback fee. Quote:

i didn't know this, but any customer that now opens a chargeback, you loose all protection, even for "didn't authorize", once a restriction is placed, you loose all cases. | do you ship all the items yourself?????

was restricted due to INR cases. | MP releasing funds is usually 45-60 days from past experience but perhaps 180 days due to your INR claims...you will have to wait

It is unfortunate that we sell and ship products on time and customers in 2 months or more can open a case and take our money. It is one of the negative things about selling on eBay, but sometimes that can happen once in many sales.

You'll start getting paid again when your account is reinstated" Since my account will never get reinstated, will they just keep it?

$4000 means that the account needs to be suspended and verified to get the funds released or restriction needs to be removed. if the account is just restricted they do not do payouts

closing the account is a good option if it is verified

closing account would not get y our fund released.
It would release the fund when it feels certain there would not be any dispute.which means 180 days

I actually tested this myself as I had two unused accounts that got restricted with some balance back in 2022 as I was using payoneer for payments
nothing was released until earlier this year when I applied for removal of restrictions and was reinstated

Generally they will wait a certain time to release them, if they are low value items they will refund much faster than others who sell products over $300

Well, just an update and to quell all the possibilities.
This is what happened, account got restricted, allowed me to continue selling until they didn't relist, accumulated a nice sum. Felt certain they would remove the restriction, but alas, they didn't. The account was open to buy, not sell. I logged in earlier this week and all funds said request payout, i hit to the request link and waiting for the big red screen to appear, but nope, got the green go and then 2 hours later, funds sent message. Payout hit my bank and now all is good.
So, long story short, even with a restricted account and less than 120 days, the funds got auto released without a single call or message from me to customer service.
It was a nice unexpected windfall.
