very nice, what did you use for the new IP?

I always recommend Ipburger since it's what it's made for stealth and I have had 0 problems for years.

Why pay so much for IP when you can get a clean fresh ISP IP for like $2-3 ?

How will you handle when or if they ask for an id request? Since the address will be a ups store address

When you say "confirmation letter" what exactly are you referring to ? As far as I am aware , SSN is more than sufficient when it comes to sole prop because you are operating business under your name so it doesn't require EIN.

Here is what google AI states:

A sole proprietorship is generally not required to have an Employer Identification Number (EIN) for federal tax purposes if it has no employees and does not file excise or pension plan tax returns. Instead, the owner can use their Social Security Number (SSN).

Right, but I recently had an MP request a documentation audit. They have a list of documents you can submit. With the sole prop/owner of the business, the 147C IRS letter is sufficient. But, if you are considering yourself an LLC, etc, they want NexisLexis and more confirmation through "good standing" documentation, state documents, and formal documentation that has been through a higher authority/tax.

This kind of auditing may become the new normal. As in the past, they accepted just an old 1040. So, ALWAYS have documentation and your EIN DOCUMENTATION, aka the IRS confirmation letter. Why? The audit gives a month... the document from the IRS can take 4-6 weeks to even process, and would kill the account from not being able to provide the information.

Hi, updates on this? Are your accounts still running smooth? For the UPS pmb did you have to go in and apply for it or can you do it online? Did you use that address for your personal business account or changed it later? Sorry just want to mimic your steps to get it right

Yes, the account is still running strong.

You will have to go in and provide your ID to create the PMB. I highly suggest building a relationship with the store's owner as well. This is where all your returns need to go.

As for creation, yes. I used this address and a DBA name. I also highly recommend that if you plan to run it as an LLC, you HAVE to have your state documents. They WILL confirm your information now as the Inform Act is live. If you do not have this, you will need to create it as a sole proprietor. This option requires your IRS confirmation letter, which they give you upon EIN creation. Even with the EIN, you will still have to enter your real SSN as a stakeholder.

Hmm you should be able to as long as you have a registered US-based address.
