eBay may just be like PayPal and they're trying to find more info to blacklist you. I could fax ebay my statement but then I'd be sure to obscure my merchant number and identifying information. I'd never trust giving my merchant account info to eBay.

Leonid how much feedback is on the account and how old is it?

Also, can't you tell ebay you take moneybookers or some other website as your merchant account?

Oh and you need to get some screenshots of it and post them.

Just listed a new auction, brand new account not using Paypal with no problem.

I think eBay is hating people based on categories.

lets just w and see if every one have this problem..
there will be small panic on this forum ;-)
of course there is a solution to this problem but lets hope we wont have to deal with this one.
So if this will be for everyone who uses merchant accounts that means ebay will have millions of faxes with usless papers to deal with.

leonid5000 11-20-2007 04:47 AM

thats weird... aspkin what state are you at and what category did you post this action to ?

Jonas 11-20-2007 04:50 AM

leonid, try listing in some category that's not high risk and see if ebay still jacks you up.

leonid you need screenshots of what ebay is doing so you can make websites saying "ebay is now forcing people to accept paypal." Seriously, you should do it.

does anyone know if we wont be able to use the merchant account feature without doing all that verification thing that they ask, would i still be able to use an active paypal account that was linked to a suspended ebay account, only i just add my new email used on ebay to my still active paypal account? would this be possible since it is a completely different email but directed to the same paypal account that was linked to a suspended ebay account, is there any way they can linked it to my new ebay account? or would i have to open a completely brand new paypal account? thanks

So I added more content.

As far as I know, it would immediately get linked again...

I have a zero feedback account thats about 2 weeks old or less. I just posted something with having a Merchant Account in a high risk category. Seems ok for some of us. So its not category, nor is it age of the account.

Edit: Also, Leonid, what is the start price of the item your listing? Mine was under 10 bucks.

leonid5000 11-20-2007 03:24 PM

ok here is screenshot
http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/5581/00tf9.jpg

ok i have opened 7th account and this time i wanted to post a book for $3 just to test. Totaly different category totaly different account. So i know that they didnt block categorys. Same thing....
So they recotnize me ither by by ip range in the state or the internet im using. I have many accounts and none of them got suspendet. The problem with posting on new accounts only. IS it possible to bluck the ip range. ?

octagon69 11-20-2007 03:46 PM

Go to a different computer and different Ip completly. Create the account and try it again. If its not the IP then they have a cookie or something on the rig.

aspkin 11-20-2007 09:52 PM

Before you list an auction, when you setup your account, do you select any settings that lets eBay know you don't want to accept Paypal?

octagon69 11-21-2007 01:49 AM

So you register and put a CC on file and then that still pops up after you try to setup an auction?
