Angry MC019 on Warners DVD

tried to list some vero stuff on fresh acct. w/ zero feedback - listed 5+ auctions at once thru auctiva

auction was less than one hour from ending / almost $ in the bank

i go to my e-mail to look for payment confirm + shipping info

instead i get:

>Your listing has been removed.
>The rights owner or an agent authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner,
>Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., notified eBay that this listing violates
>intellectual property rights. When eBay receives a report of this type of
>violation, we remove the listing to comply with the law.

ebay removed 3 of my listings !!!

*pulls hair out* / *pours gasoline on scalp* / *lights a match*

this was my first attempt back on ebay in over 3 yrs. really need the money. like, i passed poverty 60 miles ago.

i even tried to play it straight. but methinks its time to get stealthy...

questions:

1. was it dumb to sell so much @ the same time?

2. i still have a few auctions that have gone unmolested [from what i can tell], any chance i might make some money off of those ? or should i just create a fresh new account ?

3. NEVER re-list the removed items again on this account, right ???

4. is warner bros. just really anal about dvd + ebay [b/c the page was FILLED with listings selling the EXACT same product] or can i expect the same b.s. regardless of the product i list. after lurking the forums, i know to stay away from p90x and your baby can read, but what i need to know is if i should just stay away from dvd's altogether, or just smarten up ???

1. well maybe you didnt realise it would get taken down, not all branded goods are that vunerable. If you did know they were frequently subject of rights owner wrath, then yes, it was dumb
2. depends if you think they will be a problem or not, depends on goods, you have option to end them early.
3. never press relist on a taken down item, but if you let account rest for 90 days it is possible to list that brand again, although you are of course taking a risk all over again..
4.dunno, probably judging from what youve experienced..

its okay... i can admit it. it was dumb. lol. thank for the response + going easy on my ego.

@ this point i feel like i've got nothing to lose. just gonna wait it out & see.

*duly noted*

gotta agree. this vero crap is for the birds. as sad as it sounds, i don't know what the hell else to sell. everybody plays their cards practically under their shirt when you ask for advice on such matters, so i've just been google-ing myself to death looking for a glimmer of hope. until then, dhgate for meee !!! lol.

Do you know that line from Casablanca? Of all the gin holes in the world etc? Listing WarnerBros items is deadly. They are very very aggressive with take downs.
You also did not favors to yourself by listing x5 on a zero account. Killbots hone in on those listings.

Yep. Maybe x1 AFTER you had some Fb and the account was a little older.

Treat them like poison ivy...try not to touch them for a while ( More on that later)

They were once called AnalBros. But you know they have to pretend to be nice. Warners are so tight they don't even produced dvds of some releases. A slight generalization but any royalties due to them they collect. Those other items are not as hot BUT they are not often 'real'. Try not to go there. Have you found any of gibsonton's posts?
Look it means hard work but it means getting back on ebay and that's so worth it.

ebay has many software programs it runs to see that everything is to their perception of listing, using ebay etc. Killbots are their program that picks up on certain words, lack of words to make an analysis that everything is acceptable. ( there's that word again {anal}ysis) Your listing did not make the grade.
I'm glad you had found gibsonston's thread. He has made a great contribution thro' sharing. It's what the forum really attempts to do.
I'll look forward to hearing your progress and the offer still stands, my young Padawan
