Since I'm not into Vista or 7 . I'd guess that it'd be the same for all OS even newer ones, yes?

if you always deleted cookies from the get-go, i cannot see how its an issue, there must be some other reason...

buntz - Vic says in theory they can leak LSO (uninstalling flash on that browser is a good idea)

what would be your proven step to turn an account into a seller account?

My method was (after reading and browsing on account about selling) was to start simple and list something generic. then do the phone verification etc.

IS this a good idea or?

and I thought managing about 20 accounts was crazy...geeze! 80!!

There seems to be a dispute about cookies...

Quite frankly I'm confused.

I managed about 40 accounts before ever clearing flash cookies until my new accounts started getting hit 1 by 1 then I started clearing flash cookies and haven't had any problems since then, flash may have been the problem may not but it worked for me.

It may not just be flash cookies themselves. It could also be something with firefox. Used to be an awesome browser. But now a bloated memory hog like the rest. Still the best, sure. But not what it used to be IMHO

I could see information leaking within Firefox. What and how is beyond me. But firefox itself is not bulletproof I suspect. Maybe, just guessing here....

But what can you do. A different browser for each account would be cool. But that's not an option.

There are a couple possiblites.

It could be the type of card you are using to registered the account.
The first 4 digit tell them the issuing bank. Now others might use the card fine, but it is because they are only raising one flag.
You are raising multiple flags that is causing the linking, probably a previous IP address on you ISP. You need to change everything. Even spoof the MAC even though they supposed can't or don't track.

My guess would be though it is something in your listings that is triggering the link.

Next account pick a low-risk product like a beach towel or something. Find one listed by a powerseller and copy their ad word for word. Then price yours $10 higher.
Instead of adding your own picture, link to one on the web.

If the you don't get suspended right away, you know if they are tracking your pictures, ad title or ad description.

P.S. I also PM'ed you in case this doesn't post correctly.

i have some accounts that are up and running.. however NOT selling. they are fine until i try to sell...ANYTHING...weather it be a beach town or a piece of paper... i even listed a 3.00 movie. SUSPENDED instantly. I'm having the phone company to come in tomorrow to my place and install a land line. I'm attempting the dial up option as a last resort... any suggestions on if this is a good idea?
new addresses, name, phone, cc (simon), ip through dial up. with new user accounts. only deleting flash cookies.

This is really disturbing. Hmm... do you have a new PC that you haven't used yet?
If you don't, perhaps you can use a friend's PC that doesn't have eB / PP to test things out?

i used a new laptop out of the box... that's how much i wanted to put in on getting back online.
I went out and bought 10 cc from the mall, 10 prepaid phones, bought a new laptop to try it out...now i have the phone guy coming tomorrow to install a lan line due to me only using my cell phones.

It will depend on your cell provider maybe too

If you are using ALL new equipment and ALL new photos, cards, etc. Its IP as I expected

But the tethering gives you one ip to try, so its a start to confirm IP is in fact the issue

Verizon gives you a different ip each time, I don't know how big the pool is but I've used the same blackberry on about 100 accounts.
