is it very slow recently that ebay process verification?

i was asked to fax photo id, invoices etc. ebay said they received all the documents.
however it has been 8 days ebay is still reviewing it and I got no response from them.

does the process take so long time or it is just because it is approaching end of the year?

no, not because it's almost end of the year......ebay takes awhile....sometimes within 48 hours after faxing them...sometimes a few weeks!

you forgot to say, sometimes they say they never receive the fax and say lost it.. haha

is it possible that ebay will never respond you but just leave you waiting forever?
