Activity: 0% Longevity: 77% | | eBay account has been restricted indefinitely
My account was suspended with the following message:
Unfortunately, your eBay account has been restricted indefinitely from selling because your performance has not met the standards required to sell on eBay. If you had any current listings, they have been removed and your selling fees will be credited.
My Seller Ratings went down during December, but were great for January with the same volume. I called customer service and was told nothing can be done. I need to pay over $10K in fees in the next week. My feedback is over 7,000 at 98 + % with over 1200 positive a month and only 8 negative for January 2011. Should I ? Any chances they will reinstate my account? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

SIgh... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if they said " indefinitely" , then unfortunately their decision is final.
It's really tough to get anything reinstated when it comes to eB and PP.
I suggest you get the stealth guide, so that you can start new asap.

Indefinitely = forever, so you might as well forget about that account, and move on, but since the account is in your real info, you need to pay your fees eventually or in a month or 2 they'll send your info to a collection agency.
What you should do is buy the Stealth Book, and read it step by step, it is very simple, and tells you exactly what to do in order to get back up in running, so you can continue making your money. Trust me if it didn't work none of us "long time members" would still be here.

Pay the fees, buy the book, read it twice, come back better than before.

Your volume of sales is way too high for just one account--you need at least 5-10 stealth accounts.

I was issued the same email 3 months and had my shop closed down over nite with 100% + feedbacks.. I tried everything... I mean everything.. 'restricted indefinitely' effectively means you are banned for life

Binary...who told you Powersellers cannot be suspended for selling too much?
My philosophy is that you have to ALWAYS fly under the radar. No matter what.
Only case when you can fly high is when you own a REAL business, like Amazon or TigerDirect and you sell on ebay.

Same thing happen to mine and I was told as soon as I received the 1st warning about seller performance under standard warning, I have to sell more than before and have a increase track of good performance in order to avoid being ban for life.

Yes! On an account that I sold 100 things per week, I got 4 one-stars from one person (I messed up the order, tried to fix it, buyer was impossible) but the SECOND person to leave a low-star rating (whatever it was) got me that "suspended indefinitely" email (this was before the other 90+ people had a chance to leave their feedback, so the percentage of complaints was technically high). I'm "suspended indefinitely" with 100% feedback. The DSR stuff is aweful. Because people can remain anon, they are more likely to nit-pick.

99% of the time reasons people say they were suspended are not the entire truth. There is always a reason, and in almost all cases there are multiple reasons for ebay to boot you. Instead of lying to yourself saying you did nothing wrong, just learn and move on.

Why is eBay so hard with the banned for life restrictions for things that are so simple? On most websites of any kind, you need to do something really bad to be banned for life.
Why is eBay so crazy over it?

Why is eBay so crazy over it? | ebay have the power. Their decisions are loosely defined in the T&S.
You know the saying one man's meat is another man's poison?
ebay's 'really bad' is not always the really bad of that seller being banned.
Learn to beat them

eB ay is crazy about this due to past fraudulent activity - with more traffic comes more potential for fraud. As GreenBean has stated, it can be beat but you should become better informed to do so.

When they say indefinitely, does it really mean forever?
If I hypothetically made another account with all my same data 10 years from now, would they restrict it?

Anyone here have success using eBay mobile to stay under the radar from eBay? I see a lot of listings using it. If it is done using a phone not registered to a suspended account, then will it work to be under the radar?

Email ootp @ ebay and plead your case. They hosed me several times. I was almost on a first name basis with the Office of the President when they finally fixed my account. I am back in the same situation though and don't know what will happen.
