1 - Every time an EBAY account is shut down, auctions are pulled and fees are left unpaid. The person who is shut down loses all the benefit of his pending auctions, and some of his existing customers refuse to pay him because he is now suspended.

As a result fees are left unpaid , and rightly so, and EBAY is stiffed for these. So every time EBAY T&S shuts down an account, EBAY loses money! Multiple this by the thousands of accounts these T&S fools are closing down, equals some serious corporate losses!

2 - In the past, when EBAY was sued because some EBAYer pulled some scam, the company would always claim non-responsibility. "Wait a minute, we do not control the content - we simply act as a conduit between buyer and seller."

Now that T & S is trying to take an active role in suspensions, they are controlling content, and can no longer claim non-responsibility. They are now assuming the role of a PUBLISHER and EDITOR and are liable for what goes on in their forum!
Just waiting for the next class action lawsuit against EBAY based on this clear liability, pointed right at Trust and Safety!

You also got to think that every time they close an account most sellers pay their fee in full because they doing so will reinstate their account..

Also ebay makes too much money to be worried about that chump change..

I think you miss the point - the people who are suspended for non-payment, yes they pay. But no one who is suspended for "abusing ebay" settles up the unpaid fees because this has nothing to do with the suspension! After being suspended for abusing EBAY the laughable threat to close the already suspended account for "non-payment" comes weeks on down the line, and anyone who pays his fees then should start up a new presidential candidacy with Quayle.

What I was saying to why people pay there fees after an account is closed down is because Ebay will not let you even start an appeal nor give you the time of day for conversation until your fees are paid..

Hmm, that's interesting. I saw a recent survey that shows ebay is down 500,000 listings from the previous year for this quarter. Not surprising considering what they've been doing.

They're doing more harm to their company then good with all the suspensions. Sure they'll get rid of the Chinese knock off sellers, but what about the other sellers; the people just trying to get rid of a nice bag, or good pair of shoes. It's a shame.
