in ebay registration and paypal registration, can i put ⊗⊗⊗⊗ phone number?
i have read on these forums that they call you?? but i have never ever got a call from ebay or paypal. so do they call you or not?

Yes they do call you. If you are in the US, you can use a number from grandcentral.com, and UK, voipfone.co.uk
