Default Moving to CA, are they gonna ask for Social Security Number?!

Hello all !
I read here for about a half year, most useful community on the net for sure.
Here is the thing:

I live now in Europe because my family there, but I plan to move to California or other state very soon, and here are my questions:
- Will they make problems when I change country? I sell on eBay.com and eBay.co.uk.
-Will they ask me to provide them SSN for keep selling? I can get my friend's SSN but then should I change my eBay name, right? what about paypal?
-Do you know what is the price for posting from US to Europe packages of 400grams? (Usually shirts or light weight clothes).

About 80% of my sellings are unbranded apparel, and 20% are VERO (Ed Hardy, Ralph Lauren).

That's it, I have no job or something else to do. I thought about opening a site beside the eBay business, but I have to be there first. I have 500 feedbacks and without eBay i think i will be thrown to the street or something, lol?

Thank you, help would be very much appreciated.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

If i was in NL right now it would show NL flag on my profile? Because when i registered i was asked to choose country and i didn't. anyway i will be in amstelveen and i will see if it's by IP.
I would love to receive some help of you guys to the main post question. I have a VISA to work in the US for a year, but I am not a citizen of the US.
Thank you so much fellas

When you registered you put EUROPE as your flag.

You are in ISRAEL. Flag is for that country. You choose teh incorrect flag. I changed it

They may ask for SSN if you are registered with a US address and your sales go big. If you change name info on eb and pp - you can BET they will ask for documentation.

Hi many thanks for your answer
Big means 100-300, or something like 1,000 per month?

Documentation of my friend's SSN and of our rented house is also good for them? I had read the eBay Stealth already, but couldn't find answer for that.
Thanks.

I would love to get your/others advice on this - What should I do in your opinion when changing country from Holland to California? My sales are about 3500$per month (i earn about 1,500$ after fees and all).

Many thanks,
Jacob.

I don't have much experience with this and while I know it can be a hassle, I would either recommend making new stealth accounts and going fresh again or calling up eb ay and trying to get some info from the horse's mouth.

The quantity is really dependent on what you're selling - unbranded apparel should be ok but the branded may hurt.

Another option to consider is will you have access to your original computer from Holland? You could try to keep it running and do remote login to maintain cookies/IP...

Got a work visa? Then you can get a SSN or TIN. You'll need to file your taxes even if your home country has a tax treaty with the U.S.

You can always remote access into your parents' computer and not worry about this at all.

Hi,
Many thanks for your answers.
The account is registered on a friend of me. it's a seller account in use from 2009. the paypal is verified with my friend's Drivers license.
Before my move, I will buy some cheap laptop, login from it while i'm in Holland, and then in CA when i'll be there. Is that a good idea?
Thanks fellas.

No. You not doing this correctly at all.

You are assuming far too much. And typical telling only part of a story.

You should not expect a forum to give definitve answers when your own questions are cloaked.

You have NO GUARANTEE the 2009 account will run OK.
You have not said how you will get your funds.

Do you want me to continue?

Look at your plan more carefully.

Business & friends are dangerous grounds.

You're right. I bought this account 2 years ago from a friend of mine who doesn't care about it anymore. I bought it when he has 30 seller fb, now i have about 580. i started about a month ago to sell well -about 3,500$ per month.
my friend who lives in CA he is my best friend like my brother from childhood, he grows medical cannabis for living. i join him and we split the money each month (planning to increase the volume and sell about 7,000$ per month). So that's mean we will send the money from paypal to his US bank account.
What do you think about the plan?
Would love to receive your opinion on what more should i do.
Many thanks
