Search for Google Auction Site on Google and you will start to see a bunch of interesting stuff and find a ton of people that literally hate EBAY.

Do some research, sign some of the petitions, do what you can do to see that some competition arises.

What amazes me is that Yahoo isn't all over this trying to set up an alliance with Google Checkout and cleaning up their site to eventually start charging again. But they are hapless fools. Shoot, I list stuff on their site, and their search engine can't even find it more than half the time.

Think about how stupid that is. Yahoo with a search engine that doesn't work dependably competing against Google.

unfortunately. It has potential if they got off their arses and are the second most visited auction site.

But I have never sold anything there and I have repeatedly found fraudsters and crooks on it. Like guys selling bootleg movies or CDs in plain site.

Just a step away from auction format. If this gets promoted properly and an auction layer is placed over it for cheap or free, EBAY is done. Done.
