Whats the difference between pre and after 11/07. The feedback building account was a newly created one.

GreenBean 05-06-2008 10:58 PM

An account created prior to 11/20/2007 especially in the USA does not need to accept
paypal. Therefore such accounts are regarded most favorably.

maizen 05-06-2008 11:19 PM

I don't reside in USA, I reside in Canada.

It didn't ask for Paypal I instead paid with my current paypal account for my $0.01 orders.

Pre 11/07 accts are also valuable if your selling VERO items, they seem to come under less scrutiny newer accs

gotgameplan 05-07-2008 11:34 AM

On the pre 11/07 accounts are you require to accept Merchant payment or could you just accept Checks and Money Orders only , then send a bill via Merchant account thanks.

jscan 05-08-2008 03:09 AM

depends what country, refer to the forum.

In Australia current pre 11.07 accs can accept any form of payment, not requiring paypal,
however new rules comming into place may21 will require all australian ebay accounts to just accept paypal or COD. which means no money order, EFT etc

luxixi 05-25-2008 08:15 PM

dont post link, that is really dangous.
You can set up a acution, and post your itme number here. of course,it is better if you do have the item .when it finish, you can sent 2nd offer to everyone who are from this forum.
also "buyer" should mark as payment sent later. but don't do it too quick. My friend and I have tried few times, no problem at all.

mwargin 05-25-2008 08:56 PM

Sounds good to me! I'm all for it!!!

twdell 05-26-2008 07:56 AM

letting everyone know my ebay name and type of product i sell is my only concern. i wouldn't want tebay to peek into this forum, and bust me, or have a member like chris hanson trying to get even with another member. they could bid on your item, and leave all negs, or worse yet turn you in to ebay.

i know that's kind of a worse case scenerio, but it could happen.

tvaughan08 05-26-2008 08:42 AM

I second the motion..lol, its a good idea actually.

freshpl 05-26-2008 10:18 AM

with penny auctions getting removed we should set up like 1-2$ buy it now auctions with a description of an acutal item so the listing will not get removed. but the buyer will only have to pay for the sellers fee of like 25cents or whatever it is.

zymo 05-26-2008 10:26 AM

What is needed is another forum. Invitation Only for trusted members. Aspkin could start by secretly assigning several trusted members to perform the initial invites. It shouldn't even be public knowledge that this "secret forum" exists until one is invited. Not only could feedback exchange be done, but other information could be exchanged without fear that ebay spies are lurking.

divine422 05-26-2008 01:31 PM

I dont know if this is necessary. I personally wouldnt want to give my ebay screen names out just for privacy reasons. Its not that hard building feedback i just started building my feedback slowly on one of my accounts im going to use this week and its at 15 positives no problem. It only takes a little effort.

freshpl 05-26-2008 03:18 PM

how about posting item numbers of random sellers selling the 1c auctions for buy it nows that have not been removed yet.

ebayhateluv 05-26-2008 08:10 PM

HI:
This would definitely jump start our accts--to get up to the 5, 10 and then 25 mark rather quickly...

Question I have is this:

A.) on a brand new acct--you cant do a buy it now yet.. So one would have to wait out the 7 days--Correct?
B.) You cannot list alot initially--so it will still take 2-3 weeks to build up--correct?
(If you list 3 items week1, get 3 fb, then list 5 items, week 2-get another 5 fb, then 10 items week 3, thats 18fb, )--so i guess 4wks, to get to 25...??

Would you not have to list items that are Drab items, and not really want them to sell, thus- no one else will bid?

** To have the magic number of "25" fb obtained --- I guess this would have to be done via pm..
And I guess for security--we would want to do this on 2 or 3 accts--keeping track of whom we give the item numbers to?
>. IF the acct gets canned, then we can make note of who we gave info to---And 2nd time around, it would narrow down the users we gave info--
If same folks are constantly going down because of giving info to the same users--then we could assume those users are "turn coats"??

I personally say it could work-but we would all have to keep notes and be careful.. :)

GreenBean 05-26-2008 08:33 PM

Problem that I see with doing this is that any carelessness could see an account being lost.It seems a big leap to do this.

2eXclusiive 05-26-2008 09:18 PM

one little mistake, not only will one account go down, alot of accounts will also go down like a domino effect, don't rush into this one guys, think about it carefully.

using new ebay stupid feedback policies at your favor!

hey kids.. dont pay $ 0 for FB!

Use the new ebay rules to your favor.
BUY FROM YOU!

grow strong all your babies w/0$ in feedback investment (only insertion fees, but what the heck? - low items)

Have all your babies account buy from the strongest accs 1 item a week only. Exchange ⊗⊗⊗⊗ emails through ebay system between you and yourself contacting seller to ask if you could pay you ;-) by money order. OF COURSE! -you will reply-

allow 3 days, give + to your buyer (you)
allow 5 days, give + to you seller (yes, you again)

repeat same procedure every week

add to the circle more babies account

using this system

if you have 5 startup accs u will have 20fb by the end of month on main account and 4 on babies accs.

If you want to make it heavier exhange buyers purchases between all accs. This way the 5 accs will have 20fb in 1 month. Kinda linky, but what the heck, life's too short: if they are gone they are gone..

Feedback harvesting has begun! enjoy :)#

i made a post about getting feedback with your on accounts. i think my way is the best. list items with pick up only as shipping (great idea since in AUS and UK you can't do bank transfers anymore). good thing about this is that its not like $1 or $2 dollar items. usually pick items are $20+ so ebay won't be suspicions.

Need help with feedback removal - suspension my only option?

Basically I received a neg from some tart because their item got lost in the post, and I refunded.

Now, in an email I was sent, it was basically a threat for feedback. After about 3 days they said if the item doesn't turn up tomorrow, I'l neg you. I explained that the postage times could often be much longer, and I was willing to refund.

Had no reply after 2 days, so refunded anyway. Promptly received a neg after that.

Now, I sent powerseller support an email saying can I get my neg removed under feedback extortions, as I was threatened with a neg. His answer was no, I can only get it removed in an UPI strike was given, or he got suspended. How come the feedback rules no longer apply here??

Now I think my only solution to get this removed, is to get this devious skunk suspended. He left me a very unjustified neg, staining my reputation - and I think he should pay.

Any thoughts on that idea?
