Default Christmas is coming- be ready!

Hello all,

I guess a lot of members here know that, maybe some don't. But eBay on Christmas time become more careful and limits accounts more than usually (well I am sure it was years ago). So what I recommend:
1. Save new accounts- don't push them too much. You never can push them, but on the Christmas time it is more sensitive.
2. Be careful with delivery time. Delivery companies will be late- remember that. Avoid unwanted disputes.
3. Be ready for a lot of dumb questions and requests to deliver it faster than it is possible. Communication is one of the keys in successful business.

Christmas time is best season to earn money, as well it is one of the hardest periods of time to work. People are crazy nowadays. Good luck!

Well I get into this. Some of my new accounts were limited exactly on December 1st. Things have started.

Well standard - MC999, however, from a lot of my new accounts around 10-20% gets this. On December 1st all new accounts (100%) got MC999.

This is something eBay, PayPal, and Amazon all do during this time of the year to buttkiss the Christmas buyers. If you are an Amazon seller, expect your newly registered accounts to be deleted for no reason as well.

I got ready in Oct. and 90% of my inventory was gone by 1 week of Dec. I had to go to a US supplier who is more expensive than my Taiwan supplier. All I can say is wow, people are crazy in the Christmas season.

It's best to put up a Vacation sign and state that items will arrive after Christmas, you'll still get sales, just not as many as other sellers, but more than usual. You'll sleep better at night that way.

I got hit with a limited papyal some weeks ago for withdrawing suspicious amounts of money. I was withdrawing over 1200/day and still couldn't keep up with incoming sales.

It should slow down, ebay does act sometimes harder during the holidays. But every account is different you dont really know. It is the ebay attitude.

This happened to me few times. When I was going to withdraw large amounts accounts got limited. I think about 250/day withdrawal is safe.

I got limited for withdrawing 600 in the morning and 600 in the evening, sometimes more and some a little less. I'm not doing it again since Christmas season is over.

Oh my paypal was a little older, around 8 months attached to a TRS ebay account. It still has a little over $2k in it, 5 more months to go.

But same here, it was a very good Christmas season and I hope to pay off lots of student loan debts after I bought a good car with the holiday profits, I mean I already bought the car. The loans are coming next.
