| Woodside | 07-27-2007 04:56 AM | Update.... well, I caved in and wrote a "so sorry, I know you're busy, but pretty please reinstatement me" email as a followup to my formal reinstatement letter early July. Sent it yesterday. We'll see. The arrogance... |
| Quickie | 07-28-2007 04:47 PM | This is just an opinion about reinstating suspended accts.
I'm using new accounts to do eBay, and I have no further business interest in my suspended account. However, I feel that, if an old account can be reinstated, (in 6 months, 12 months, whatever), it would be a plus.
NOT so I can reuse it again, that would be stupid.
Just so that if my new account is ever linked to the old account, it will be linked to an active, and not a suspended one.
OR,
so that I can gracefully close the reinstated account
what do you think? |
| plugfish99 | 08-05-2007 10:52 PM | faxed reinstatment 9 days ago and nothing yet I was suspended for no apparent reason, I guess I tripped a security alert. I emailed trust and safety and received a response 7 days later. Then faxed reinstatement paperwork. That was 10 days ago. No reinstatement yet. Their message stated 3 days from fax. Wow |
| plugfish99 | 08-05-2007 10:56 PM | I think 10,000 suspended users would be a gross understatement. maybe 500,000-600,000 would be closer |
| JackNoMore | 10-01-2007 02:01 PM | Hey guys, I just logged into an old suspended account (with safeguards in check of course) to double check the credit card and found this statement:
"You have been indefinitely suspended from eBay because our records indicate your account was involved in activities that violate our policy governing payment of eBay fees. Learn more about this offense.
If you feel you have been suspended in error or want to appeal this decision by providing additional information, please contact us.
An email regarding this was sent to you at XXXX"
Since my regular practice is to burn old suspended accounts, I can't remember ebay's definition of "indefinately" on this notice, whether it means "just pay the fees and you'll be reinstated" or "this is not coming back no matter what you do" I know they have a couple different situations at least with different definitions. But this one is just for fees.
Could someone refresh my memory which one this is? Thanks |
| Rosanna | 10-10-2007 11:26 AM | hi, so with my first "real" account will I be considered after 12 months have passed? Or does it depend on the severity of the infraction? thank you. |
| jm3262 | 10-11-2007 09:58 PM | HI- ANyone ever been successful after say 12 -24 months getting back your olf acct/fb? Was really easy to sell high ticket items with 3,000 fb/100% power seller, verified, even had the pencil eraser for top 100 reviewer, now with -0- fb, + zip--getting emails, "I'd like to bid, but your fb scares me"....???
Thanks for any fb. |

Rosanna, jm, with the passage of time there may be more of a chance to reinstate EXCEPT THAT you must assume that by then you will have burned down quite a few more EBAY accounts, most likely due to linking, and that you will probably as a result owe a LOT of EBAY fees.
Personally, at this point, I doubt I would even want my first EBAY account back if it meant coughing up all the fees I have stiffed EBAY for over the past year.... I have settled into a routine that suits me just fine http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-su...ains-same.html | LOL same here Modee.
I get suspended twice for the same account though.
First - some "fpa notice"
Second after I am already suspended - another suspension for not paying my fees. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:20 PM. | |
