Single Login from restricted account!
 

I accidentally logged in to a restricted account from an ip address tied to my stealth account. I need your opinions on this please. Do you think a single ip login would suffice for my second account getting linked? :rip:

Did you use the second stealths user account with cookies in place?

A single login with the wrong IP will cause a link, but by itself may not be enough to cause issues.

There is a strong possibility it is now linked (or will be linked down the road when the bots put 2 + 2 together).

We must keep in mind that every time we log into ebay... ebay records the ip address from where you are logging from. This is stored on their servers.

And it is why it is often suggested a sample excel spread sheet should be used to track your IPs.

When making the mistake of commingling your IPs with another account, always make the assumption you are now linked.

You should be able to still use the account, but be prepared in the event you receive an MCXXX down the road.

Long term it is too early to say if there will be issues.

Yes. Cleanse the account with fire. Err I mean wipe all cookies and flash cookies and then let the account be dormant for 2-12 weeks.

Past posts have pointed to a one time deal unlikely to cause problems - yes risk for link is there but 1 time...I would say chances are LOW but, your decision to make based on all the posts here. One thing for sure is not to repeat.

I would agree long term, it is too early to say but still feel that 1 time is still low likelihood.
