Adding a 4th...well....I haven't gotten a new ip address that I could add a 4th account for in over a month so that's not even possible. | You can get a ton with dongle and cellphone tethering - get few dongles as needed with different service providers. |

| smokescreen | 10-01-2013 09:59 AM | Re: MC999 calling in to chat - getting these & outcome for me I call in quite a bit, and they are usually receptive to new sellers, acting stupid is a pretty good idea. 9 times out of 10 you get someone in India who is just going through the motions, you just have to be more careful when you get one of the US operators. |
| deluxee | 10-10-2013 10:53 AM | Re: MC999 calling in to chat - getting these & outcome for me I just wanted to help confirm this to the great community here -- I'm relatively new to stealth, and with each of the new accounts I've created I've had to call into customer service to answer if I had the items on hand and if I was just selling stuff around the house from my collection. I've tried all different price points, tried waiting 30 days before selling, and tried selling the lowest risk stuff I could think of, but had to call in each time anyway.
So as far as I can see, don't freak out thinking you messed up if they pull your listing down on a new account. It looks like they make you call in no matter what if you are a new seller. |
| ghackett5 | 10-14-2013 04:28 PM | Re: MC999 calling in to chat - getting these & outcome for me I just got the MC999 to verify info.
Should I go thru the automated verification with XX info? as it will definitely not go through with the info I gave |
| BigCJ | 10-14-2013 04:54 PM | Re: MC999 calling in to chat - getting these & outcome for me If you dont go through with it, your account is toast.
If you want to save it, then call. If not, let it pass. |
| Dmshark25 | 10-14-2013 05:26 PM | Re: MC999 calling in to chat - getting these & outcome for me My first 30 accounts I was impatient and the same thing happened where I needed to call and got all reinstated .
I understand when u first get booted and there's no more income u are desperate to keep earning.
After u stabilize your business again don't turn your ebay into a seller account right away, make a ton if buyer accounts and log in and browse and buy shipping supplies or whatever.
I just had one account that was a buyer account from 10 months ago no Paypal , I just created the Paypal turned it into a sellers account and not only did I receive no MC999 on first sale but also my limits are 100/5000
But I find waiting a month is good enough to avoid the MC999 |

You make the choice.
But then check over how you are making your accounts as well.
Maybe your plan needs tweaking. |
| ebayseller2014 | 10-17-2013 10:53 PM | Re: MC999 calling in to chat - getting these & outcome for me I just dealt with a mc999. Pretty easily in my opinion. I listed a high risk item for my first item, just testing this account to see what happened. I received the MC999 within a few hours of posting. I called, acted stupid and new to selling on ebay, answered a few questions, and they reinstated it. I think it really does matter if you get an indian person who barely speaks english and is just following a protocol. The lady I spoke with was totally cool and even raised my selling limits to 50/$2500 without pulling the public database for questions. Gift of gab I guess. Best part is the account is in a females name so I had a pretty hilarious voice going the whole time since I am a guy! I feel pretty lucky right now, the ebay gods are with me tonight...!
I am just curious now. Does anyone think it is a little harder to get an MC999 again if you just got it and got the account reinstated? I feel like testing the waters and listing a couple hundred dollars in goods but I am not sure if it is a great idea. This was my first stealth account I ever created and it just went from being a basic account I didn't think I could do much with to being pretty valuable.... |

I have called in on 50ish accounts and have only had the limits raised to 25 twice. Never 50.
Don't keep your expectations too high because you will be disappointed next time. |
| Dmshark25 | 10-17-2013 11:53 PM | Re: MC999 calling in to chat - getting these & outcome for me Just cause u called in doesn't make ur account invincible. If anything u r more watched now than if u were never asked to call so I wouldn't list 50 items on a new account |

Wasn't it established that you may have linked the accounts via your Gmail log in? If so, is that why you are getting the MC999?
Have you looked at the Huawai Mifi device OP? I've just got one, it's as fast as home Wifi and also gives a new IP when you switch it off/on. It's also wireless and runs on a battery, so you can charge it and then take it anywhere. | You can get linked by logging into your other gmail account?? |

If not, do it. Here's a quick pic I took of mine... http://www.aspkin.com/forums/attachm...me-capture.jpg |

Thanks for that image. That was very helpful. |

Thanks for that image. That was very helpful. | Glad it helped. As for Yahoo, this applies for all mail clients that receive email via eBay/PP.
For Yahoo, its under the Security section... http://www.aspkin.com/forums/attachm...2&d=1383933438
You probably notice eBay and PP send emails with their images (gif). Within these images is a hyperlink to their site.
Here's a post that has more information on the topic; best to read up on it. http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-tr...tml#post486726 | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:54 AM. | |
