| | | Jack123 | 09-01-2008 05:18 PM | Will ebay reinstate me after improving my DSR? As I read here, once you are suspended, your chances of getting back up are close to null.
I was suspended for 30 days for seller non performance.
I have since worked hard on it, and got my DSR greatly improved; above the eBay power seller minimum, and my FB rating is above the %98 minimum. (As opposed to when I first got the eBay warning.) But then I also got some new negs and neutrals, (from contacting old buyers, who woke up..)
Does anyone believe ebay may or will reinstate my selling privileges after 30 days? I DO in fact at this moment meet all eBay power seller criteria.. Or is the 30 days just a way ebay wants you to not run away and refund all disgruntled buyers, but nothing can change their minds?
Does anyone know a long time powerseller who was reinstated after 30 days? |
| ebayhateluv | 09-01-2008 05:21 PM | Hello:
I have had success with reinstatement many times.
--They will ask you (normally) to fax in your drivers license, as well as a current utility bill, I would also emphasize in a short memo to them your understanding of the importance of dsr's/customer service, etc.. and how Ebay is the greatest thing since sliced bread, etc etc..
Best of Luck :) |
| Jack123 | 09-01-2008 05:27 PM | I thought faxing these documents is only if you did some violating their laws, etc. not just a general non performance.
And My (workplace) utilities is included in my rent...
Someone mentioned contacting BBB or State AG. Would that by a (last resort) option? After all, I meet all their criterie to sell..
And the fact I got some new negs... Or they will consider the DSR improvements.. |
| aspkin | 09-02-2008 09:14 AM | If you bring up your DSR, you have a good chance of being reinstated. Seller Non Performance are easy to overcome. If eBay asks you to fax in documents, do it as well. |
| newguy121 | 09-02-2008 12:40 PM | They didnt allow me to go back after going up to needs work then good. They just didnt care. |
| Jack123 | 09-02-2008 01:09 PM | Did you meet the minimum of %4.5 on all four, after going up?
And was your FB score above the minimum of %98? |
| Jack123 | 09-02-2008 05:06 PM | It's actually not that simple: I looked at the wrong DSR; from the past 12 months, not 30 days... The 30 days is still not the best...
Any chances they will give me another chance? If I explained well how I will improve, etc.. |
| thenewb | 09-05-2008 03:45 PM | They suspended a friend of mine yesterday for seller non-performance- platinum powerseller with 98.6% FB rating and all his DSR's were better after the 30-day restriction.. only one was below 4.5 (ship cost) which we all know is complete BS...
Myself I am on 30-day restriction with the threat of suspending 5-platinum powerseller accounts (my ebay fees are over $30,000/month)
My DSR's are hovering around 4.5 for ship time/cost/communication and 4.9 for item described....
I am planning for the worst... After selling on eBay for 11 years this is the worst that I have ever seen them treat their customers.....
I am going to get some stealth ID's for backup just incase........Any help to my posted questions would be appreciated... Aspkin? you out there?
Thanks,
Noob |
| Jack123 | 09-07-2008 11:15 AM | TheNewB: What do you mean they suspended him? For good?
Also, in other words, what you are saying, if there is no 4.5 in ALL four cat. there is no chance of coming back? |
| thenewb | 09-08-2008 10:18 AM | Hey, yeah they gave him an indefinate suspension, and denied his appeals.
I am currently under complete selling restriction and awaiting my review to see if they suspend me. As to what the magic number for DSR's is?? I don't know, but I suspect, for now, that they are using 4.5. So all DSR's have to be over 4.5.
I have one under 4.5 so I plan on being suspended too. By the way this won't matter after November when they have a minimum of 4.3 and they won't suspend for SNP anymore... but that will be too late for me so it is a shame and not really fair. |
| thenewb | 09-18-2008 10:15 PM | Ebay re-instated my account and I had one DSR at 4.4 and that was my lowest. I had resolved all disputes and paypal disputes. Also I had only one nuetral fb for the last 30-days (out of 38)... I think I squeaked by but don't really know? |

This doesn't seem like ebay to be LOWERING seller requirements. Can someone confirm this? |
| imjustme | 09-27-2008 12:32 PM | No way it's 4.5. I have about 20 accounts with DSR's at 4.3 and they're fine, never got a single warning. I believe it's more like 4.0 or 4.1 |
| BooMer | 09-27-2008 01:43 PM | Jack123, being "suspended indefinitely" and be suspended for 30 days is completely different. Having a 30 day suspension from "Selling" but still able to log into your account to do other things like bid will have a really good chance the selling limits being lifted. Just do what ebay ask of you and you should have no problem. If all options fail for some reason then start over. Learn from the mistakes you made and change it up.

| ebay100 | 09-27-2008 02:51 PM | one at 4.0 will do it.... got me a warning then another Neutral and Bam ..suspended.. now say I need to improve ..It has ..so I hope I am reinstated..
but 30 Days just kills me..

| TMiles | 09-27-2008 05:02 PM | All these posts remind me one of the quotes I read in the Ebook. That is "always have at least one back-up" account.
I would suggest two or three. You never know these days what is going to happen. It only takes one angry buyer to royally "screw" your account up.
If you read EbayHatetoLuvs story, you will see this point in great clarity......

| HIRAM_NJ | 10-05-2008 11:22 AM | Personally I got the warning for SNP becuase of feedback and 7 days later we got suspended. Funny thing is in that 7 days, we got better DSR's and all positives and we still got suspended?!?! I am learning about back-ups now, but not a comany I want to do more business with so we shifted more into our website, started Amazon listings on a single personal account (not that great), but we are divesting from Ebay due to their attitude and this total lack of stability. |
| gurusgrafx | 10-06-2008 12:18 AM | I got one of these and the message said I fell 5% in a 30 day frame. It was a shipping time issue. about 400 feedback 100% at the time with 5 neutrals. Its really kinda hard to keep everyone happy by these rules. If you break it down you sell to 500 people get feedback from maybe half of them. Out of the ones that leave you feedback theres gotta be at least a few that no mater what you do you cannot please. I mean sure you have people riping people off and this is a good way to clear them out but its going to clear out a huge chunk of good sellers too. |

| JoeSonDo | 10-13-2008 04:07 AM | Buyers that don't sell on eBay simply cannot grasp how devastating a negative feedback can be for a seller who is honest and respectful. Such shame retards are permitted to live on this planet. |
| HIRAM_NJ | 10-13-2008 09:01 PM | I got the "MC008 SNP NOTICE: Restricted Account Reinstatement-" notice today BEFORE my 30 days were even up on my one big account. I listed nearly $300,000 worth of goods in a flash, but frankly after this my days with GREEDBAY are numered. This suspension was the first since I was selling in 1998 and I did NOT deserve this AT ALL. I am literally scared to depend on FEEbay, that are undependable at best. |
