Hi All,
I read the Stealth Book, need few clarifications before I proceed.
1. Should I link respective ebay/paypal account to one Modem ? Say got 6 accounts active, should I buy 6 modems ? OR get 3 modem and link 2 accounts per router ? (I guess if one account gets banned, the 2nd one will be linked and closed too) ?
2. Can I add all ebay accounts on my cell phone and answer emails and check orders that way ? or ebay will link me since all conversation emails will be coming form same mobile IP ? (if now, what is the most comfortable way ?)
3. Using SAME business name AND address on ALL packages (from 6 accounts) in case some packages has to be returned or were not delivered to the buyer?
4. Realistically how long may it take to bring the sales business on all 6 accounts up to 20k/month ?
5. Should I buy different DSLR cameras for each account, to make picture background white (professional looking) ? (so I dont get linked in case some common data is stored on the JPEG files.)
6. What is the selling limit, when PayPal will actually start following my back, asking extra documents, calls etc... In other words, what should be ideal selling limit on the ebay account so paypal doesnt raise flags ?
(Let say, selling for 30k a month through 1 stealth account (ebay/paypal), would probably raise some flags)
Thank you.

1. I suppose, personally I'd just purchase a dongle.
2. Use Gmail to reply to eBay buyers. <--- dont quote me on this, not too familiar w/ mobile gmail response.
3. If you insert business name & address through ebay/paypal shipping system - then you will be linked - avoid that.
4. there is no formula, you max you limits monthly and hope for the best.
5. No need to get pricey, remove EXIF data on each image - stick with 1 camera
6. Many things, selling pricey items on a new account... Vero items... Getting near the 200/20k Yearly limit...

Thank you for the response !
1. Could you please clarify the "dondle", is it a wireless modem ?
3. I don't usually print labels with Paypal or eBay. I take address and print them through my carrier (e.g. Canada post website).
That is why I though If I will use a business name and address on all labels, since essentially all I am taking from PayPal is buyers address.
Any suggestions ?
Renting 6 addresses is a bit odd, even if you rent a po box. I think me registering 6 PO boxes from the same place under different business names, may rise some flags at the post office.
Anyone from Canada, can suggest/provide some hints for a good place to rent several legitimate SHIP FROM addresses, ( in case the package gets returned, it does not get lost) ?

A good stealth account CAN do this, but there are some things to be aware of:
First, you might want to consider spreading your sales over more accounts. There are several reasons for this. The PRIMARY reason is that PayPal, and really ALL merchant account providers, start looking a lot more closely at accounts doing more than $5,000 per month in sales. You may be asked for ID so that they can verify your identity and check your credit. At least, that is what happens in the USA. $5,000 seems to be where they start doing risk assessment and underwriting the accounts. A business account MAY survive such scrutiny on its own, but you cannot count on it.
The other reason is to limit your own risk. You KNOW how flaky eBay and PayPal can be. Spreading your sales across more accounts means that they cannot shut down your entire business, just a small part of it. If you have 10 accounts and 1 gets suspended, you just lost 10% of your business. If you have 5 accounts and 1 gets suspended, you just lost 20% of your business. More accounts means a much more stable business.
My point here is, don't rule out using more accounts to reach your sales goals, rather than trying to run $20k per month through a smaller number of accounts.

If they check for ID varification and credit score, is a there a way to really by-pass this step ?
By the way, is the whole thing legal ? If ebay finds out somehow & suspends stealth account along with PayPal, but there are some money on paypal say 1k-2k left, does it mean I will no longer be able to take out the money ?
Can I be charged for using stealth ?
(Last two questions are just out of curiosity)

| Is it legal for Paypal to hold funds for 180 days? Is it right for eBay to ban sellers for petty things? Is it ok for buyers to scam sellers? Quote:

| If your paypal goes down with money in it, Paypal will release funds in 180 days or maybe sooner. Quote:

| O no, my products are legitimate, not VeRO, good quality.
If any of you have personal website + ebay... How do you manage your inventory ?(Since right now, you cant connect any modules once you are on stealth.)

You would put some paper on the clipboard and use a writing instrument (usually one called a pen or a pencil) to make markings on that paper. These markings would represent your inventory and we would deduct an item for each item sold. | The Following User Says Thank You to jeffweico For This Useful Post: | |

The only ones I have found that would be good also want me to keep my customer data in the inventory program and to do my shipping from the inventory program.
But I use ShipStation, which provides some GREAT automation that I am not willing to give up, just for some inventory program.
Hence, my low-tech solution.
