Default Hi, newbie here with MC011

Hi all,

This is my first post and I was up late last night reading the eBay stealth guide. Best $37 investment EVER. I have a question, I got hit with a MC011 on my account and when I called customer service, they were concerned about the blu ray movies I was selling and wanted to confirm that they were not bootlegs. Luckily I kept my receipts and sent them about 8 receipts.

All they asked was for the receipts. Should I be ok? I do find it odd however that I called in for a selling limit increase and I got hit with the MC011 less than 24 hours after getting my increase. I thought it was kind of ironic? Anyways, I have read a lot of posts and you guys are awesome. I hope to learn from you all and in the future help out others that have been screwed by eBay. Thank you!

Welcome to our humble little home

The thing about it, when you called in for limit increases, you gave a person a chance to 'review' your account.

Im going to make this sound like the PETA people and apply it to ebay: MEDIA IS MURDER for an account.

If you sent in the receipts and have not hear anything back yet, they are still in the review process. It is unknown if they will reinstate you or not. So its just a waiting game at this point.

The key to getting past this is....Make more accounts!

Yes, they are still reviewing everything. The MC011 came down early yesterday morning and within 2 hours I had faxed all of the receipts. So it has barely been a day. It is difficult for me because I have so much inventory and eBay is my only source of income. Hopefully my account gets reinstated ASAP and I will definitely be making some stealth accounts.

So when I call in for any reason and give access to my account to a eBay customer rep, I am basically risking my account getting reviewed? So technically a rep could just be having a bad day, etc. and decide to mess with someone's account?

Wow, that's pretty douchey. But then again, if I worked as an eBay customer rep, I'd hate my life too.

Well, got the dreaded MC999 indefinite selling ban e-mail today. Called customer service and the rep said "Due to our policies, we cannot disclose the reasons in detail." Basically even with the receipts that I sent in, they still do not feel comfortable with what I am selling, which is the biggest load of rubbish I ever heard.

don't feel bad I am in the legitimate media business (DVD) I sell my used rentals on ebay and have had the same issues. Ive sent invoices, Suppliers names, customer reps, etc.. Ive never had an account reinstated once they ask for invoices. I loose an account every month. I hear people say don't sell VERO but my business generates Used VERO as a by- product. I cant sell them all to my customers, especially the obscure titles. Just open more accounts faster than they can kill them.
The people at the bank think its weird that I keep opening new business accounts, but it works.
