I'm not sure if you said how aged these accounts are but photo linkage really takes time to link. Photo linkage is really something that must be repeated constantly overtime to raise flags. I had all photos from my iPhone on many stealths without one limitation (that was over a year on those accounts).

Don't get me wrong once I found it can possibly get me suspended I started cleaning all my photos. If you haven't selected your emails not to show images, also think about email linkage with flash cookies inside the photos.

I have just got VERO warning a few days ago, and now it is indefinite restriction.
I don't get it, I was a power seller with 100% positive and great ratings.
Somebody must have sent in a complain or anything

It was so sudden

ohh....

3- go illegal and you will operate your account from behind bars

that first step seems a little silly to me.

as many would agree - using family or friends information is a very unnecessary dangerous idea.

unless you don't care for them ofcourse!

Exactly - never need to use friend or family info

I've gotten MC999's for 3 days in a row. Geez.

Switching categories again and hope I get lucky. This is just stupid.

Re: It's raining MC999s

Are you guys hitting these MC999s on first listing or on first 24hours of listing? Or are these on accounts you've sold on previously?

Re: It's raining MC999s

What MC999's are yall getting? Account Restriction on the first item listed or Account Registrationor someting different?

Re: It's raining MC999s

I got a MC999 on an account aged 2 months with decent sales and perfect feedback, dsr, and shipping EVERYTHING same day.

It was the standard MC999 where you answer questions like "how do you ship your items?" "where are your products now" ....etc.
I had already called upon opening this account and passed this MC999 so thats the same MC999 twice.

This is fine because its super easy to pass BUT as we all know if you get a bad rep they can if their ugly hearts desire to ask us database questions. Not sure if this is the MC999 you all are referring to. Its only happened once and this account had already seen increase limits to 20/1250.

Re: It's raining MC999s

My MC999's are immediate takedowns and result in a permanent suspension (which is what I assume people are talking about here). These are not the call-in types. They happen usually hours before my auction listings end after being up for a full week. Oh, the suspense!

Was doing fine in the same category earlier this / last week. I noticed that I started encountering this since the beginning of November, but they're getting more aggressive. Switching categories and items for a week and then reverting back seems to work. I have a feeling they're just watching certain categories for trouble now or something... It's just a guessing game. Who knows.

Either way, gonna keep chuggin'! I've lost some accounts, but it's TO BE EXPECTED around this time of year. I'm getting close to my goal this month anyway..

Any idea why? Are you selling out of character for the accounts? How many are you receiving .... details ???

Re: It's raining MC999s

Anyone else got mc999 after the first listing to test selling limits? ( listings were low risked used clothings), I didn't upload pictures, may be the reason?

Re: It's raining MC999s

I did get a few MC999s a while back on listing first item, but just played dumb on phone and got them removed. Then a couple of weeks ago started hitting the permanent ban ones on more established accounts (Lost about 1 in 2 accounts). I can't explain them but I'm worried that it's more in depth hardware tracking - could be paranoia/could be just the Christmas cull and some of my behaviours have been identified as risky. Either way, I hate this time of year (in terms of EB). Thinking of squirrelling away all year and going off the grid in Nov and Dec next year. It's cost me thousands already this year.

Think of what season were in... that should answer it.

You should love this season, its the highest in traffic??

Your stealth practices must be flawed somewhere.

peghmeypong 11-20-2014 04:04 AM

Re: It's raining MC999s

Yes I understand that and I accept that my stealth practices aren't perfect, but they work for me January to October and I strike a balance between work/profit that I'm more than happy with.

This season is also the highest in limitations across EB/PP. I've had no problems at all all year, until November, then I've been hitting limitations on some of my accounts. My practices haven't changed, plus some accounts are still fine, so I must assume EB/PP's practices have, specifically for Christmas, as they seem to every year.

I've not done the maths yet, but as a guesstimate, I don't believe that currently (for my setup, which works for me 10/12 of the year) it is actually worth the increase in sales for the wastage of a few accounts. Not just for the monetary loss, but also the work that goes into aging and maturing accounts properly.

It can't be denied that EB/PP change it up for Christmas.

Re: It's raining MC999s

Personally, I don't think it has anything to do about stealth practices. Alot of us have been operating fine for months already.

It could also be competitors reporting you for ebay to send you the lovely mc999.

I didn't think ebay staff would EVER take any notice of a 'competitor seller' reporting another sellers items

I always thought ebay never took any notice at all of any user reporting anything?

They only act on vero participants reports no?

its automated i think, i always get warnings when i list a certain item, know its another stealh reporting me across multiple accounts, think it has a calculation based on how fast its selling/how many warnings its got
