Confusion re:IP address info. I have a dynamic..
 

I currently have a "dynamic" address thru AT&T. Now I guess it is a "sticky" Dynamic, as it doesn't change very frequently. This is what I have
used on my now restricted EBay acct..

I am getting varying answers to what I need to do with IP
situation. If it is dynamic, can EBay successfully track me
and link me if I open new account with this "sticky
dynamic address".

I only want to open 1 new account. Should I get a static
address and go from there.

Some people have said do not get a static IP

CONFUSED.

Well you don't really know something is dynamic until you inspect and log the IP changes. Do yourself a favor and log your IPs and if it changes it is dynamic. If you know the IP address used with the banned account, you should avoid using it in creating your new account. With dynamic, you can create multiple accounts. Static is mainly for maintaining accounts for the life of the account. In my opinion use static if you are operating on an established account.

I did not use my current dynamic IP to establish my now
restricted account.
I recently got a new "wireless" modem and have to assume
a new IP came with it. But, I have been logging onto
my old account with this new dynamic IP.

I have been tracking my IP for the past 3 days and it has not changed,
but the AT&T reps. have assured me it is dynamic. (a "sticky"
dynamic so it does not change daily, etc..)

There is no problem in operating more than one stealth using dynamic IPs.

You are likely to get a different IP every time you connect to the internet and that is fine.

Try to keep a log of the used IPs and to not cross use them between accounts.

If your IP doesn't change so often it might be an issue...

Search in the forum, you should be probably able to "force" IP change by changing the MAC address of your router.

Easyest way is to get another ISP to manage other accounts.
