just lost 10 accounts and no idea why
 

lost 10 out of 16 accounts. no idea why. csome accounts seem to be safe. no mc999 or any mention of any violation.

just a message that i have been suspended.

now if i had linked the accounts somehow wouldn't they all go down?

All selling the same item?

All have the same ship from zip code?

Loose them all within an hour or did you loose one and then later loose the rest?

i switch publivc ips but i do get old ips about 20% of the time.

most accounts had different items. i only listed the same items on 2-3 different accounts because they sell slow and i have 4 of em.

yeah same ship from zip but i always use a different zip when signing up.

i lost them all withing a 5 minute time frame.

been busy all day but it seems i lost 90% of my buying accounts as well. thats close to a hundred accounts.

Wow.....you got hit big time. There has to be a smoking gun that got you linked or something. Were you using home Internet, Mifi/Dongle, VPN/VPS?

well technically they are all linked hence the mass cull of accounts.. you need to think and explain what you have done here.. have you used same photo's /sharing of metadata? or not checked the IP address between accounts?
If this is all within the last day or so your other accounts could some be dust too

Can't believe nobody has mentioned this. This is MOST LIKELY the reason your accounts were suspended. Public VPN IP's are overused and most have already been burned on eBay.

Since the accounts were all lost within 5 minutes of each other, I'd say it was definitely an automated suspension caused by recycling IP's.

Looks like its a IP address problem. if you say that you get 20% old ips,
this means you may have got one ip from a bad pool

my cashout method isnt part of the topic. but, i have seperate accounts that are withdraw only and i gift the money to them. so far i have 4 that have lasted about 6 months.


dont know what makes the existing accounts unique. maybe ebay overlooked them.

i log into all accounts at least once a month.

Cashout method is your link. Gifting payments to certain accounts will kill ALL accounts associated.

My guess is that remaining accounts have not had a financial link to these accounts or just a one time link.

Why does this matter as long as the Ips and cookies are different?

A recently banned/used IP that has been associated with tainted activities will cause any account to be linked on that IP.

It doesn't.
Assuming we're talking about a router connected to a standard DSL/Cable model for internet, changing your router's WAN MAC address should give you a new IP from the modem. Swapping a router is just a long and more expensive way to change the MAC address which the modem will see.

nobody knows EXACTLY why, but whenever someone gifts money to themselves, this happens.

links exist between the accounts which are enough to trip a reaction.


If you were to see certain patterns within a range of accounts, you could deduce they belong to one party.
ebay/paypal work the same way.

DO NOT CASH OUT THE MONEY AS A GIFT. PayPal will notice constant Gift payments being sent to the same account over and over and suspend you.

There is a better way that i won't put out in public but its quite simple.

Wow, you must of been doing something messed up big time for that to happen, like using same ip, same address, I've made 100 buyer accounts before so i know it's pretty tough for that to happen unless your using same ip/repeat ip's or same/similar account sign up info.

He said on the first page that he was recycling IP's from a public VPN. Most likely the reason for the link.

You guys must do a ton of buying to need 100 buyer accounts...

I do not see where he said VPN at all. Just public IPs so any mobile device could be that.

He did link all his accounts financially by gifting funds and withdrawing from just a few accounts. That is death to accounts.

Sleeper accounts left to age would be a better term, only really need 1 account for buying.

There's no point in aging buyer accounts because eBay only cares until the moment you turn into a seller account...

You right yankee, my bad. I sometimes forget Public IP does NOT mean public VPN, haha.

How though? I've never had a buyer account get in any trouble, and I only have one. Are you in the business of scamming sellers?

OP, your operations have multiple issues - public IPs, gift cashout methods, similar listings of same items for sale....all can lead to linking. Learn proper stealth

You can have a 5yr old buying account but it means nothing once it gets converted to a sellers account, 21 day holds apply, and so do category limits.

I was having trouble understanding why you need backups since I've never had any problems with a buying account. But don't worry about it, it's no big deal.

@GB I clearly wasn't accusing yankee of anything since I was responding to what someone else said. My coding isn't shoddy, I just suck at bbcode or whatever this is. So you are aware, I used the "QUOTE" button in the WYSIWYG editor, which automatically wrapped quote tags around the text I selected. You can call it careless, but I just clicked a button. :typing:

A buyer account, aka sleeper, is what most people refer to an account that hasn't been turned into a seller yet, doesn't mean their sole purpose is to buy with it lol.

When you use the Quote here, the name needs to be on the post, for obvious reasons. Been the method since the start of the forum.

Copy and paste should work for next time. Will take extra moments but should suit everyone reading what you post
