Anyone tried sending an infringement retraction email by using the VERO member name?

Hi people,

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever tried sending an email to vero@ebay.com after receiving a violation alert (copyright or trademark) from eBay, by using the email address of the VERO member as shown in the alert?

So just like it's a message sent by the right owner, telling eBay that he's agreed to retract his previous complaint and asking eBay to re-instate the listing, remove the violation record from the eBay profile?

The reason I'm thinking this is I tried contacting the VERO member after receiving a listing removal notice from eBay, but no response. I'm sure my item was authentic as it was bought from a retail chain store. So it's not fair to have my eBay profile hurt by a false claim. If the VERO member just ignored my appeals, I'm thinking if I should send a message to eBay by making it like a conflict resolution message sent by the VERO member.

Do you think it'll work? Or will it hurt my A/C if eBay found out it's actually not sent by the VERO member? Can I pretend I don't know who sent the message, and use some excuses like some hackers may have hacked for the detail somewhere thru internet if I was asked by eBay?

Forget doing that. ebay will check everyhing out. Your account will be suspended for abusing ebay. Revenge will not work this way.

Very bad idea. Every email has a header hidden that has all your computer's information. Your plan would be like poking a bear n the eye with a stick...

You can ⊗⊗⊗⊗ your header info or hide it. It is worth a shot if the account is going to be toast anyway.

What exactly an email header looks like? What kind of info does it include? How can I manipulate it so eBay won't find out it came from me?

Read this from this site to get a understanding about email headers...
