I tried all of the suggestions on that page but none work. I also tried every other suggestion on the first 5-6 pages of google but most end up just coming back to the link I posted and none worked for my machine.
I pretty sure this isn't the right forum for this kind of a question but I'll give it a shot anyway.
I'm working with a Lenovo ThinkPad T-430 just in case some one that reads this got it working on theirs or any other machine that uses the Synaptics UltraNav driver for Windows.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Re: vmWare / Windows synaptics touchpad scroll function not working. Solution Needed
Nate, I haven't had that specific problem. I have had others.
Was the scroll function ever working? If it was you could try pausing the VMs, restarting VMware, turn on the VM again and see if it works. This works for me for other recurring issues I have with VMware.

No, The two finger scroll never worked while running a VM. I've read that turning off the driver somehow works because it will run off the VM driver but it'd have to be turned off by cmd since the Windows GUI doesn't allow the option and I'm clueless as to how it would be accomplished. I tried uninstalling the driver but as soon as the computer restarted it d/l it back on the machine so I got aggravated and gave up.
I was just hopping that someone else with a thinkpad had the same issue. Lenovo ThinkPad is a common machine to run vmWare on. I find it hard to believe no one's found a solution. Everyone cant be running around with a mouse or using the PgUp & PgDn keys
