Default Auctiva has some links that open eaby

So I set up an Auctiva account for one of my ebay users.

I suppose folks get used to it, but man I absolutely hate the user interface! Very clunky to navigate.

Anyway, I set it up under the same ip as my ebay and did some cruising around. I noticed some links open up ebay. So that's unnerving...

I was hoping you could view and check up on listings, but that seems to pop open ebay. Scary. Glad I was under the right IP. I may just not know my way around it enough yet, but at this point disappointed in what can be done. The listing aspect is awesome for sure. But I was hoping it would show most of your ebay account and actions remotely. No big deal. The listing end is the important part anyway....

Are there any pointers on what to absolutely NOT do with Auctivia?

OR - Should I assume the only safe use would be to list, re list and gallery? And just leave some of the other junk alone?

I pretty much only use Auctiva to list things so I can't really answer on what NOT to do with them. But I can share a tip on how to check on your listings easily. On my main user account that I use for my everyday internet use I have all of my Ebay account sellers listing pages saved as favorites. You just go into Ebay and in the help box put in "find a member" and then just enter in the user id of the account you want to find. Then once the page pulls up you can click the link for "see seller items". Then you will have a page that will always show the active listings on it. Then just save those pages to your favorites so you just have a click the link and you'll have your answer.

That sound pretty cool. BUT, is it safe? With the robot scanning systems they have in place, would not a single ip always checking same seller be odd?

ht tp://store.auctiva.com/yourusername

Just save that to your favourites.. you can see your listings and how many bids etc without ebay ever knowing on multiple accounts and without having to login to each auctiva account

I do my work with Auctiva on the main user account or any suspended user account so if you open to ebay through Auctiva, you are opening in a safe user that's dead already. Any time I have to go to my active stealth accounts, I just do that and nothing else.

I have a few questions... Could you please help?

1. If I have 3 eBay Stealth accounts and want to sign up for Auctiva, should I be using different Auctiva tokens for different accounts? What information should I use? My stealth one?

2. Then, I should contact Customer Support and let them know the info af all my stealth accounts to get a monthly fee of $9.99 per month?

3. What if one of the accounts will go down or I would like to add one more in the future? What to do with Auctiva tokens?

4. Is there anything to take into consideration making listings on Auctiva? Should pics be "cleaned" first and then submitted to a listing?

Thank you so much for your help!!!
I've been reading for a few hours -- still can't find the answers. :(

I tried Auctiva and didn't like it as I'm using Inkfrog. I like it and no worries about linking to ebay also you can revise your ebay listing in Inkfrog as I do not think this is a option in Auctiva. GOOD LUCK!

Nice. Fooled around with inkfrog for 10 minutes and immediately closed auctiva. I just cant stand its UI. And nothing but problems updating gallery and listings.

Inkfrog feels much nicer to use in my opinion

hi...can you use auctiva AND inkfrog with the same ebay seller i.d.? i mean can ebay seller "squirrelnuts" list his nuts through auctiva and turn around and list other nuts with inkfrog still under the name "squirrelnuts"? or do you have to sell your nuts on one or the other unless using completely different name?

hope that made sense...woke up way too early and coffee hasn't kicked the engine on in my head yet...

you are right about the links, it takes getting used to, the only good thing about auctiva is its IP benefits, and that it holds your listings for longer than ebay would eg. over 60 days before deletion, plus it is an image hoster too. I dont know why anyone would bother with it apart from for these benefits of stealth.

You can program auto feedback in it too
