| glacier922 | 06-28-2016 01:31 PM | One internet connection for VMware and one for host? Has anyone figured this one out yet? I want to see if I can get my high speed internet on the host while using mifi or whatever on the virtual machine. Anyone ever tried it? |
Re: One internet connection for VMware and one for host? I would also be interested in hearing if there is a way around this.
But I dont think its possible. The network adapters are shared between host and VM, so you cant make one exclusive to host and another exclusive to VM. The only way around it would be USB dongle, but thats not exactly a MiFi. I may be wrong, but that's what I have come to find. |

VMWare also allows you to setup multiple network adapters on a VM. So you could feasibly configure both connections within the VM, and choose which one you want to use. |

Re: One internet connection for VMware and one for host? Use Virtual Network Editor, set a custom VMnet to use your MIFI
then edit the vm image to use custom network adapter such as VMnet2 etc |

If you want all your VM connected with wifi at the same time, you need one adaptor for each VM, is that right ? |

My Mifi, of course is another wireless adapter, along with my cable modem adapter? Are you sure this is possible? Thx. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:33 PM. | |
