Can I use AOL Dial up and switch to the firefox browser using the AOL connection? Will this prevent the AOL and internet explorer connection... IPBurger said i was using aol.com or aol dial up, the ip address was different so that's good. Do I need to disconnect the cable wire while I'm working on ebay or amazon? If IPBurger says AOL.com will my broadband appear to EBay?

New thread was a mistake... thanks. My son says that unplugging the ethernet cord will cause static and ruin the motherboard over time. I liked the orion thread on ip addresses, but I ordered AOL today before I read it.
