AHEM......you guy/gals ROCK!

My landlord didn't have ANY problems.

I made sure and asked him if all his telcomm was working properly.
I didn't even tell him about the ip change!

But Vic was right....it was the battery backup.
I changed the mac addy, removed the battery, unplugged the modem (not router), waited about 5 mins....and WHAM! New Addy!

So I wish to thank (and will be thanking ) all those who were kind enough to help me along the way.

Now, jot down everything you did, stick it in a notebook or save a txt file. So when you need to do it again, you'll be able to do it again quickly without missing any steps. If you're anything like me, you figure something out but by the time you need to do it again - you've forgotten at least one important step and end up relearning the process all over again.
