Has anybody experienced this in Windows 7?
Windows 7 Tracking?
I've been on Windows 7 a while. Some tech experts and some of the foremost authorities on the practice of stealth warned against Windows 7 because of privacy issues. But I just love the aero theme and couldn't stay away. Apparently, among other things, it's easier for sites to read your MAC address, computer ID, etc.
One thing I have noticed though, I use fairly tough internet security Trend Micro Titanium and run CCleaner, remove LSOs, etc. more than regularly. When I used to run scans on Vista with Trend Micro Titanium I rarely used to pick up any threats. Now I run CCleaner, remove LSOs, etc. just as much if not more, and whenever I run scans with Titanium I always pick up these 3 fairly large tracking cookies that it quarantines and deletes. Now the LSOs and cookies from other sites are already removed many times daily, so these must be embedded in the system, and to add to the conspiracy I run Microsoft Security Essentials and it does not pick them up. Titanium on the other hand always does. What these cookies are doing and what else is going on without our consent makes me wonder. I've done some googling and can't turn anything up on the matter.
Has anybody else noticed this or have any more information on the Windows 7 privacy issues?
