How fast should i start selling?

Hi guys,

I have 4 100% positive feedback ion my new account and sold my first item yesterday.

Is it too fast to list one item per day for the first week of my account?

If not, how many items do you reccomend i list to start with.

Thanks

You SHOULD wait AT LEAST 4 months before you list up to 3 items the first week after that......surely not something you may want to hear, but isnt the goal to have a stealth account that lasts?????

4 months is a bit long - definitely nice but 30-45 days can do the trick.

i try not to use my new stealths for at least a month

usually after 30 days and over 10 feedback you will be okay to sell... list just a few things..

As soon as I open my accounts, I list straight away. 2 items on average a day until the message comes up saying I have reached my selling limit.

Some new accounts, I just hammer it and list away upto about 90 items (within a few days) and the message comes and I stop.

Some account get a 10 selling limit, others 100.

Some have the 21 day hold on pp, others do not.

I do not recommend doing what I do unless you dont really care like me and have many many backup plans/ideas.

I sell cheap 1-2 pound items like magazines, books and boring stuff like that - maybe thats why it seems to work for me.

I joined here in feb with nothing - no bank acc., no pp or eb.

I now have 10 accounts all running ok (only small hickups).

Play things depending on your situation and depending on if you have backup plans if it goes wrong coz the last thing anyone needs is no money coming in!

Oh.... just to say... if anyone feels bad that they got a crappy 10 selling limit on there eb, dont feel bad. Think of me and my account of 10 selling limit. As mentioned, I sell mostly 1 pound items - so IF all 10 sell in a month, that a big £10 I get a month (minus fees etc.) - wow..... what shall I buy!

I use to get 50 selling limit but I made 1 stealth account today with 10 selling limit. It seems the 10 limit is happening more and more with new sellers. I will see later today if its normal. I still have 3 other stealth accounts that will become sellers accounts. I hope I get 1 50 limit.

Yet another post thats been answered so many times in the forum.

Its not an exact science but SLOWER the better to nuture an account that you would like to keep for a long time.

I usually wait a week and start listing until I get the hold message or limit message. But I also spread sales out over like 4-5 accounts at a time. I have had to change my strategy many times with ebay/paypal policy changes.
