Default risk of constantly changing IP address

I'm paranoid about constantly resetting my router and using a different IP every time I log in, does ebay care about this? I'v heard you can save your ips so the same one appears for certain accounts by changing your mac address, anyone know about this and how to do it?

Iv also noticed strong correlations between each Fresh IP, do anyone think ebay will find this suspicious?

thanks.

Think logically young jedi and don't let your fears get the better of you.

If you were on dial up instead of broadband you would have a new ip everytime you logged in. Cookies and beacons make EB feel cosy and want to cuddle up with you, make you their friend, then they can offer you all sorts of goodies that will let them have a look at your pooter and see what you are doing.

IPs are not your worry.

right I see cheers, so what about cookies, I'm still not clear on them and fearful of logging into different email addresses on the same IP can ebay only follow your movements on pay pal and EB? or can can they see if you have been on the eBay Stealth form for example..

Its just i prefer to check sale history via my emails so it saves me logging in and out of accounts, but im worried ebay can track this.

I also sometimes check the sale history by searching in ebay for my own products on my other accounts, could this link me as well? what if I signed out of ebay and then did it, would they just see it as general traffic, even though its the same IP? cheers, al.

Set up a new user account and do all your EB and PP work in there.

They cannot, as far as we know, tell where you have been or I would have been knocked off 3 accounts weeks ago

Welcome to the forums - have you read the stealth guide yet? Just asking to understand your situation before I post.

Looks like GTran is on you so that advice is good.

if you use this exact O2 internet for only one EB-PP account it's okay of course. even with a Static IP. but be very carefull if you want to use some accounts!!

I mean my resent internet is from Orange and the IP cannot be changed as i called them and asked,so i desided to get this mobile wifi dongle with 15GB from O2.I read somewhere here that every time when you connect it to the Laptop it gives you different IP every time.Iam about to use multiply accounts ebay and Ppal but just wondered if this pay as you go internet is ok.I don want to use dialup,VPN or router swap,i would mess it up.
Just want every time iam in my ebay or Paypal to switch to different IP.I think this is more safely!?

it's difficult to understand what your're getting at, just don't use this exact dongle with multiple accounts. you'll link them all. your IP won't change whatever laptop/PC you use. considering, as you said, the IP is static...

Why not just test it with those IP lookup sites.

Big difference between VPN and VPS - VPN is generally not good, VPS (when correctly researched) can be workable.

I wish my home router/modem changed no matter how long or how many times reset I cannot get a new IP with my roadrunner I tether so not a big deal. But annoying nonetheless. Thompson phone/internet combo. RCA makes it
