Activity: 0% Longevity: 70% | | IPOD Touch and Tracking
So I have a new Ipod Touch...I downloaded the ebay app, but never signed in...because I can search for my items, then look at my ID and seeing whats being bid on....The IPOD is registered in my real name...if I sign in and not list, but maybe answer some BIN questions, etc...can they track that??
Any Thoughts

Everything has a specific address, MAC Address I believe. So if you used that iPod on a previous suspended account and sign in with a fresh new account, then you have a pretty good chance of being linked. So you either need to change the MAC address on the iPod or simply not use it. Personally I dont use my iPad or iPod for ebay (I dont sign in), since it is so limited in what you can and cant do.

Any Thoughts | MAC address doesn't matter with Ebay. I use my Iphone to log into all my Stealth Accounts. With your Ipod, the problem is going to be IP addresses. If your using your home WIFI your going to have to be sure to change IP address.

There is a MAC address on every single computer device. Even if he changed his IP Address to a new one and logged in with a previous computer device (iPod) that was used with a suspended account, then he will run into issues.

There is no need for the OP to start messing with it, the more important factor(s) is IP Adress, User Account(s) on the Computer, and Cookies.
I've logged into new Ebay/PP accounts with the same Computer, same Ethernet Device, Same Modem, Same Router that was used on old banned Ebay/PP Accounts. I did take the appropriate measures to make sure I wasn't tracked.

Read the TOS of the app. There is a lot more being tracked than you think.

I thought somewhere in the myriad of other posts, there was advice to NOT download the ebay application? |

This thread is in regards to the applications. Please reread. Also, I hope you don't think that EB and PP mobile websites are not tracking you either? Haha...funny people you are.

iPod Touch is an iPhone 100%. Simply lacks the 3G radio for cellular. There is literally nothing else different.
In fact, if you live in areas surrounded by WiFi signals, there is no reason to buy an iPhone. iPod is all you need. You simply use VoIP apps to make calls/texts. Or you can use those new cases that come with 500mb of usage every month for free and run off Clear Wimaxx. I had a discussion with someone about this a few weeks ago. If you are a college student living on campus, an iPod is literally like having a free phone. Then use the 500mb/month when off campus if need be.
