Default Change IP from DSL modem.

My old router stopped working for some odd reason. Anyways, I found out how to change the Ip from my dsl modem, but the it still keeps the same beginning numbers. ex:70.209.xxx.xx the 70.209 stay the same while the other digits change, can I safely go on ebay with this or will I be caught?

That's 100% normal. As long as the last two digits are changing, you're good.

Ok, awesome. Thanks! BTW, I have QWEST DSL. If you have the same isp, all you have to do is type 192.168.0.1 into your browser, once you're into the set up go to basic set up and change the characters of your email, example, if your original email is typed out like this: mme12@qwest.net, change it to something like this, MmE12@QWEST.NET, the trick is to keep the same letters. save it and you will have a new ip.

Lol, that's new. Usually people change their Mac address to change their IP address. I never heard of changing your email address to do it.

yeah, I found it on google.

if anyone has qwest, I recommend you do this, it's pretty simple. I just successfully created an ebay account last night and listed an item, so far so good. I woke up a bit spooked thinking I would have a suspension notice in my email box but I'm all good for now. :D Thanks!
