Default Fresh Windows Installation - Cookies Gone

What do people do if they totally start fresh with windows?

Im just about to start a stealth account under a new windows user, but in a few weeks im wanting to upgrade my motherboard and processor so ill be doing a fresh installation of Windows 7.

Is this advisable under stealth as all the cookies will be deleted?

My guess is that it is ok, but not advised.

Im just wondering what the deal with losing a few weeks worth of cookies will be on a new account, will it raise flags and make them contact me etc?

I think eBay understand that people do get new computers and laptops, so it happening as a one off would be fine. It becomes more of an issue when each time you log onto the site you have no cookies. I don't see any problem with it to be honest.

I switched my entire operation to a desktop and lost cookies on a couple of dozen + accounts and never had a problem. If you're worried simply clone your hard drive and transfer them to your new system.

If you have to re-install Windows, you should be fine. Just have too re-add your user accounts. I don't think you will have any problems.

When you log into paypal / ebay for the first time on a new user account just dont attempt anything high risk like withdrawal or sending funds. Log in, browse and then log out. After that you should be fine.

It will say something like "looks like you.logged in from an unknown.device" and ask you security.questions like what street did you grow up on?. Sesame street? Course you did.

I had a recent issue when I had to use a new computer for a particular account - I logged in, browsed around for 1 week and some bidding - did not have problems when sales re-started. I will admit that the transfer of cookies was not an option I looked into.

From time to time, I would reformatt my system and reload my cookies like nothing ever happened. I recommend this for any one to avoid issues. I remembered losing a few accounts due to cookies and I couldn't verify my accounts so ebay dropped the hammer on me! !!
