I am so confused.

I am in no way technical im not sure I can do this ip change over as I live in shared accommodation so 3 other people using wireless internet here .

could I get my own cable interent from virgin media to overwrite these problems as I am in UK and most of you are from US.

I don't know what to do.

I am thinking of using my sisters ebay account but scared until I know I wont get her banned if I do something wrong

You have a super easy way to deal with this issue, seany.

Use your dongle.

Use what you are using to access this forum now.

That way you can avoid touching your sister's account too.

Easy.

Thanks for quick reply.

Well im using what I used for both my ebay and amazon accounts the same wireless connection but we have changed modem.

Then gone back a few days later to old one as had some issues .

so are you saying its autochanged ip address .

still confused and feeling rather thick & stupid

My IP changes simply by turning the router off for 2mins.

I'm new to this too though, so not sure if that helps with your specific problem.

@seany, everytime you reconnect the connection - do you go to ipburger.com to check that new IP comes up?

not yet ive only just bought stealth and taking my time as lacking in confidence with all this at moment but I will try and hopefully it will make sense soon

No worries on lacking confidence seany - best to ask questions along each step for clarification, nothing bad about that....what you are doing is good - read and take advice along the way

I did it for the first time yesterday.

1) go to ipburger.com
2) write the IP address down that shows
3) turn off your router for 2 mins, then turn it back on.
4) go to IP burger.com
5) write the IP address down

Just doing that doesn't affect any stealth accounts but it gave me the confidence in seeing how the IP address changes.

cheers lads I will try later and get back to you I have written down the ip address shown on IP burger.com so will soon know if its changed
