eBay app account on phone used to Tether?
 

Hey All,

Would it be wise to use your smartphone eBay App on a legit account and also use the same phone to tether and use the connection for Stealth accounts?

I suppose it wouldn't matter as both would go through the network assigned IP addresses, which will change randomly on resets. Or is the MAC address off smartphone also noted?

Opinions?

I dont think anyone will be able to answer that question without seeing the source of the app or packet sniff while the ebay app is up to see what is sent in.

I usually operate on the principles of keeping it simple and not doing anything I think could expose me.

I wouldnt recommend using the app because 1) you're giving ebay too much control, 2) they could update it at any time to make changes, and 3) you dont know what the app is doing in the background or what information it's sending in.

opinions are to NEVER use this ebay app.

When you made the thread did you find anything in the SEARCH?


If you just wrote ebay app, nothing would show. But if you try

ebay app for stealth, all the threads are there.

Have a try and read the repsonse.

Again, avoid this for stealth & your own account security.

I already use tethering for my stealth accounts but My situation differs from just using the app for a stealth account;

I will be using the app for a legit business verified eBay account linked to a verified business Paypal account, and was only wondering if I could still use tethering/hotspot from the same android phone to connect my laptop to. I will reset IP on phone before every use and use different accounts on laptop for stealth accounts.

To me this seems that it will work without stealth accounts being banned, but I know everyone will still advise

If you need to get on ebay with your phone, consider using "Atomic Web" Browser. You should still log all your IP's when using this app and tethering.
