Is there a # of times that u can change your MAC address?

Yeah my router has been given me a hell of a time today when i changed the MAC it would not let me on the internet i dont know whats going on but when i use the mac starting with 84: it wont connect to the net i though it was my router and i bought a new one and did the same thing so finly after messing around i hit clone mac and got a random mac and it worked. Has any one here had problems like this?

im useing a linksys g router

and i notice in the past that some times i swtich MAC's it would never connect and i had to unplug the modem and router to swtich it a 2nd time.

Also is there a way to reset the router and modem after u do a mac swap w/o unplug the power from them?

I might be wrong, but I just got done doing some reading, and some internet services can detect how many mac addresses (or computers) are using the internet. With that said, they possibly could be limiting how many diff computers connect..

Right now im useing probly 10 dif MAC's for both ebay and HDC and i swap them on a daily bacis when i need to log into each account

i use the same MAC's over and over till they get NARUD on ebay

Do u think one could get in trouble if the ISP can see u switch MAC's all the time
