Ipad showing different ip addresses
 

When I check in my settings on my ipad my IP address is different from when I use ip chicken.
Which one is correct? I suspect my ipad is wrong but how? And why? Its making me paranoid my ip is going to catch me out!

Why not tell us what setup you have or running, that would be a great place to start.

so I have bt internet and am using my hub internet connection for one ebay account which is real but have been banned from selling on this account. not banned from buying though so still use it for purchases. I Log in this account on my ipad.

I have another two stealth ebay accounts which I log in on my computer using bt wifi hotspot internet connection.

I haven't logged onto my real account since I set up new stealth accounts so want to make sure my ip on my hub is different before I log in to make sure they Wont be connected. But my IP showing on my settings on my ipad is different to ipchicken results.
My IP address result on my ipad doesn't seem to change at all yet ipchicken result has changed.

Your Ipad is probably showing you its local address, I am guessing starting with 192.xxx.x.x, and IP chicken is showing you the address external servers see.

Get the App IPVIEW , it's Priceless . It will show u what IP u are currently on and will keep a list of every IP ever used , I have had it for almost 2 years and it has every IP I used for the last 2 years stored and it's an easy way to see if the current IP is new

Yes the ip address on the ipad starts with 192
So ebay dont see that local address? Just the ipchicken external ip?

Will take a look at the app ipview.
