Same IP, 2 accounts. What do you guys do?

Before I start I have used the search function but the last question regarding this was 2010 and not what I needed.

1. If I was to start building up 2 new accounts, under different computers, would it be better for me to just keep the IP, or to switch my router off for 5 mins and create an entirely new IP each time, to ensure they are never linked? My concern with this would be that if account A gets pulled for any reason, account B will too.

2. I have a buyer account. Should I also avoid the same IP address as the seller account at all costs?

Im sure many of you run some insane numbers of accounts so was wondering what you guys did as the 'safest route'?

Thanks

Always have different IPs for each account - very easy to do - keep track to avoid overlapping - this is the safest route

Use this spreadsheet to monitor all IP addresses. As long as you put the IP and the account name and track each IP after resetting the router you shouldn't have a problem.

Use http://www.ipburger.com to monitor IP addresses after each reset.

To see if you have previously had the IP after a router reset press CTRL + F together and enter the IP & click 'Search all', if no data is found you are all good.

No, just make sure you do not re-use the same IP as another account :thumb:

No, because they can ID that the users has an IP that changes. That is called dynamic.

They can also ID if the IP stays the same. That is static.

You need to make sure that you have a user account and cookies in place for each account.

Good Luck

1. Unless you want your accounts linked, always change your IP address between managing your accounts.

2. Same.

Not really - they are more aware of cookies so keep them in place and, again, dont overlap IPs across accounts
