Default Photo tracking on MacBook

Hi Guys

I use my MacBook for eBay accounts etc.

I was wondering what app or software can I use on the MacBook to avoid photo tracking when uploading pictures to eBay

Has anyone ever used https://imageoptim.com

Not sure if it removes all the information from the pic - its really simple to use for the mac

Just a drag and drop the pic.

Can one of the more experienced bods please confirm if ImageOptim is good enough for the job?

Thanks

These are the three I've come across that are free and supposedly work well.

If someone who nows about pics could check and let us know how good each are for ebay it would be very helpful...

You can check here if anything is left over.
EXIF Data Viewer

I use BatchPurifier for windows and have no issues. You could always dual-boot, just have windows as a stealth side.

No camera data there, you should be OK, this is just info related to the color profile.

well its generally advised to not reuse the same photos for listings across multiple accounts, but test that data with another, different photo from the same source and see if there are any similarities.

doesn't look like that info will cross over to match other photos from your source though. those are the fingerprints of the photo characteristics, not from the device

good luck

The info you have highlighted defines a standard picture in RGB format, that is all.
ICC profile - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Here's another good read about ICC profiles and where all that info comes from.
FotoForensics

Key point from the last link
With the exception of a few high-end cameras, cameras do not generate ICC Profiles. ICC Profiles are added by applications as the file is edited or converted. Many applications -- including Adobe Photoshop -- will default to adding a color profile to the picture.

Most profiles are generic and not hardware specific. For example, "Adobe RGB (1998)" is the Adobe standard and implies that an Adobe software package was used, while "IEC 61966" (also called "sRGB") is the standard color profile used by everyone else. (IEC is the International Electrotechnical Commission, a standards organization.)

Besides colorspace information, the ICC Profile will include the primary platform. This typically represents the system used to add in the profile. If you see "Apple Computer", then the image was likely edited on a Mac. If you see "Microsoft", then it likely came from a Windows PC. However, do not assume that "Hewlett-Packard" means an HP-computer was used; many platforms, including non-HP systems, use the HP color profiles.
