it's important to understand where Flash cookies fit into this.

I mentioned the thread to give you background.

Re: Firefox Portable question

I am just trying to bring up the awareness that firefox portable share the same flash cookies and ebay can use that to link accounts. I am not sure if I should use it anymore, anyone else is aware of this or has any solutions.
IS IT REALLY SAFE TO USE FIREFOX PORTABLE, PLEASE DOUBLE THINK EVERYONE.
just a warning and reminder to the fellow members.
only solution I can think of is clearing the flash cookies manually everytime you open any browser.

Re: Firefox Portable question

I just open a new user account. So its a clean start. Then on the desktop I open new folders for each person. run the install for each. Just make sure to never allow plugin to install. continue to block silverlight or any plugins thats trying to install.

Re: Firefox Portable question

you can give the sites in question no space to save any data for flash cookies on the flash website you mentioned.

Re: Firefox Portable question

I looked on other places re this (Stackoverflow, etc), and it does seem that FF portable stores all the LSOs (flash cookies) in a central place.

So how do you stop them storing the flash cookies?

Re: Firefox Portable question

Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel

Clck the icon with the All seeing EYE! to the right "Website privacy Setting"

Click on the website you want to deny access

thats it!
