How long can I survive after I got linked

I made a huge mistake and attached an old bank account that been used a year ago to a new stealth account.
I took off all the products immediately and waited 3 weeks, now i uploaded everything back and nothing happened, i'm not sure why they didn't suspend both of the accounts, both have completely different info and they are 99% linked.
How long they might wait before they suspend them? is it possible that they're waiting for more funds to come in and then i'll receive the 180 days limit?
Would you take a risk and keep selling on those accounts?

Was the bank account attached to a previously suspended account? If so, then the account is not safe anymore. You might want to make a new stealth accnt in the meantime while continuing to sell on the linked account.

I'd end all items and withdrawal all funds (don't forget to pay eBay fees first) out of this account and trash it. Create a couple more stealth accounts.

You can keep selling on this account but its a ticking time bomb and you never know when you'll wake up one morning with tons of sales to then be hit with the 180 days and be screwed.

But thats just what'd I'd do.

The bank account attached was used only on a legit, still active account.
I would definitely withdraw everything and forget about it but in this case it's a bit more complicated and not my decision, i'm just trying to help a friend.

If you want to continue selling... keep funds very low in the accounts and withdrawal $ so you don't get stuck with it. But always be prepared to have to wait out the 6 months

It is allowed to have multiple ebay accs. They are working without any issues, but are treated by EB like a 1 single account. If one of such accounts does something bad, other will be suspended instantly. So you can use them, they will work, but will both die if you violate some EB policies. Usually people are afraid of linking of new accounts to already suspended accounts.

muzzie, i'm sure everything is fine if it's under the same family name but not if one account owned by Jackie Chan and the second by Chuck Norris with the same bank account it's a problem.

Yes, missed that, sorry. If people are totally different, but the bank is the same - you should dump these accs.

The problem will arise if one account gets suspended than the other will follow, but If they are both still running than they shouldn't be suspended because of a link

They get suspended when one account is linked to a suspended account

The 2 accounts are now linked, but they are both operational, but if one goes down the other will follow

Even if the accounts are different names I can't see the accounts getting suspended because they had the same bank account at different times

Bank account numbers are not likely to be assigned to different people over time, and used at PP, too low probability, and possible security issues. Technically it is possible. But from the PP's paranoid point of view, can be a reason for some preventive measures.

If that's the case then whats the point of selling limits, let's just open 5 accounts with one BA, all brothers and sisters, who cares if your not planning to do anything risky, if one account gets a low dsr, just leave it for 6-12 month and open another one with the same BA. If one account will get suspended because a competitor took it down, the rest will go down? What would be the reason to suspend a chain of accounts? low DSR? vero? cakes? anything? I mean, in which case if one account goes down, the rest will stay? because if that's a family they can't suspend the father if hes daughter sold a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ cactus.

It depends on how they access their accounts. If they do it from a single PC, and a single user account - all family will be suspended after accessing their accounts. But from separate PCs - can survive it My EB is dead, but my wife uses her EB without issues, from her own PC. Same with paypal. Our IP is the same, no issues. Most important is not to mess up with cookies.

P.S. About avoiding low DSRs - it is quite risky. If accounts are linked and have a low DSR - opening another one will make everything just worse.

That doesn't make any sense, they can't see the pc ip, just the internet ip and cookies so you and your wife or many many wives (if your muslim or a douchebag) can use million portable browsers on the same laptop and I doubt that if you got a perfect DSR and your wife really low they can't possibly have an algorithm to automatically suspend you if you did nothing wrong, they will suspend your wife.

You missed me. If one of your accs gets hit with low dsr, and then instantly another acc pops up with a same bank - it is bad. That is my point.

I have a question for everyone alse.
If your wife got a negative feedback and your son opened an account a week later, it's not supposed to affect hes account even if hes using the same BA. (probably as long as you can send the docs of the entire family). I'm asking just to save the hassle of having many BA's which is a bit of a problem for accounting.
