no answer to exactly how long - sometimes it never comes down, either because they have not noted the link or they are letting you keep it. it is actually cookies that is worse link of all not IP, but I guess you got linked by cookies too?

My main eBay gotta taken down due to some suspension notice with no appeals available. Something to do with abuse of t&c. Ihave another count which I sold on too linked to Same PP. Just wondering if it will last long term? Don't wanna waste my time listing if it's just gonna go down in 48hours. Or have some people had linked accounts that stay on forever??

Linked to the same PayPal??

None starter in my opinion. Not worth the stress it'll give you.

New accounts is the way forward!

Thinking of just using it till it dies and whilst my fresh stealth accounts are building up.

Don't let it get to you. With the selling limits nowadays multiple accounts are the only way you can make any decent money.

I'm currently running 6 accounts, selling daily on each.

They take one down? What do I do? Start on another account I have simmering nicely!

I'll win eventually. Need to create my own website really!

Its very annoyin.
I cant get bad thoughts out of my head now. I dont know where to go.

Obviously the way forward is multiple accounts. This is long winded, stress and hassle but I will have to do it. Just hard to think positive right now as i have had great success for over 2 years with a good business. Now i cant stand life having to tell people my business is effecitvely dead.

How long does it take on a new account to get all limits removed, realistically?

Like i said the bay is my full time job so i cant go too too long without making my regular salary, if you know what i mean mate.

Piece of string reply.... not predictable.

Some stay up & some do not.

double check what you might have done to get zapped for abusing their T&S....
the death knock could happen quickly.

If you find the reason, then make sure not to repeat the troubles....

Have you any hints? What was the actual notice?

I am sorry to hear of this

from speaking to several of theyre agents on live chat they all tell me the same thing that there is no appeal allowed on this account and there is no way im getting it back.

very stressed, depressed.

might even have to get a proper job and quit my own business...

What I dont get is if you dont know about stealth how can you be working on some other accounts in the background? Chances are you've inadvertantly already linked these accounts if you are accessing them from the same PC due to IP addresses / cookies etc. FFS!

Before I knew anything about linking etc, I had a Ebay account shut down 14mnths ago, so I made a couple of new accounts both totaly linked and used I used the same paypal and both are still going, but I've not touched them in a little while as im now stealth, I head back to them now and again to say hi and sell a bit on them, make them feel wanted so they have purpose on ebay - be rude not to. Maybe they are both on borrowed time, who knows.

Yes they may be on borrowed time or maybe you have not done activity that would cause them to be jeopardised. I have had fresh eb accounts with a pp account that had blocked eb accounts in the past - nothing is 100% but the risk is high if you don't know how things work.

The linking is found on routine automatic searches using paramiters that is defined by ebay, however as you know you can search in a search engine and still not find what you know is out there.

Its my experience that a lot of this is done by humans in Ebay who wait for signals and flags such as vero, customer complaints, risky items, high sales volumes who then do a manual search around that account using triggers such as name, area, product, ip adresses and cookies. Now f you have a vero complaint and they see a person using the same browser for 2 or 3 accounts on the same ip those accounts are going to go down if different names and addresses are found.

If the 3 accounts are genuine then they will be linked and according to the risk limited in their sales numbers, volumes and catergories.
