There is nothing wrong with your VPS. Linux VPS's CAN function as a desktop environment, just like Windows can. You just have to know how to install it.

My first suggestion would be to switch to Centos 5, preferably the 32 bit version or i386. Yes, there are later versions of Centos, but the desktops tend to work better with this version. I don't know exactly why, but my guess is that it takes less memory.

You didn't mention the specs of your VPS. Like how much memory it has, any burst memory, etc.

VPS is slow and needs more ram, switch to VPN imo

What? VMWare was built to support Win XP, I'm running it pretty successfully. Then again, I'm using workstation. I'm not sure what the officially sanctioned 'free' editions (VMware player) support.

Just to follow up Jeff helped me and it actually Was not possible... the VPS server vultr made it impossible to connect to a a vnc.

I have been trying to set up my VMware as well, with windows...

My computer does not have a disc and has given me trouble with 8.1,

I would like to set up with XP...do I just purchase XP and serial code to
get this done.
I may have old one, but probably on a disc. So far, I can not find a download for it.

I have been working on this all last night and all day and now about to start over again,

I purchased two fresh IPS and ready to set them up and I plan to do more but really want to do multiple on one computer and with Amazon I am still too scared to just switch users, I want this to work.
