Auctiva Details

I have an auctiva that I have been using for many years. All my photos are hosted there and all my listings were created there. I use the Auctiva account to create and link items at not only ebay but several other websites. I have about 1200 itesm and 1.5 GB worth of photos hosted on Auctiva.

When my ebay got suspended, I created a new one and used the same Auctiva account to copy/paste the listings into my new ebay account. When you click on an image, Im sure the URL is exactly same as the one that was used for my original suspended ebay account. Do you think ebay will link my 2 accounts this way? It will be very difficult to create a new Auctiva account because they don't have a COPY function for new accounts. This means I would have to upload all 1000's of photos into new Auctiva accounts AND - even worse - I would have to create 100's of new auction listing again to copy/paste into my new ebay account. That is an almost impossible task because I have so many items to sell.

Here are bullet-proof ways so they cannot track your images:

- Use different image hosting accounts for each eBay account.
- Change the file names of your photos.
- Put your account name somewhere in your photos. Not only will it keep competitors from taking your photos, but it will also make each photo unique. It will have a tiny different size from your other same photos on other accounts and will automatically seem as another photo to eBay.

Bulk Rename Utility is a free file renaming software for Windows. Bulk Rename Utility allows you to easily rename files and entire folders based upon extremely flexible criteria.

Hi there,

I have one question.
If lets say i have taken a shot and got A.jpg. I have open it in windows photo viewer and i use the Fast stone capture to capture the image from the open image window and save it as b.jpg will be ok? will be the metadata still the same or not?i believe not.Right?

Is it common for images uploaded to eBay to not have EXIF data? Could images stripped of this data appear suspicious to eBay?

userOFnames 02-22-2011 02:22 AM

^^^^ I was just wondering that. I mean, i'd imagine the common seller doesn't know about this and just uploads their pics straight from their camera without changing much except the file name.

Here We Go Again 02-22-2011 09:09 AM

No data = No big deal to eBay

hnnn 02-22-2011 02:09 PM

can you say -- > alt prtsc irfan paste crop save as.... simple as hell to get rid of any and all basic watermarks/copyrights/meta blah blah data.

Simple as that for anyone that cared to worry about picture linking.

hi, I have been using SmallImage (Mac) - Download

seems to work fine and when i check the data on http://camerasummary.com it shows all the data before I strip the info and then after it says there is no info. There is also a smallimage icon that will show on your desktop after you dl it that will let you drop the pic you want to strip right into the icon and the stripped pic will show up next to the unstripped pic in your mac images folder. You have to check this box off first in the preferences section in order to activate this option

As for using the same pic on multiple eBay accounts....
If you think that eBay can not extract this data and use it against you to link your accounts you are nuts... LOL

nak 04-16-2011 11:14 AM

If i strip the data from my pics can i upload them right to ebay without them being tracked. I use the same camara as i did on my suspended accounts. And the same computer.

Here We Go Again 04-17-2011 02:19 AM

As long as you rip the data from the pics you should not have any issues.

nak 04-17-2011 01:13 PM

here we go again thanks for all the info.

Use ReNamer to rename all images to generic file name with random or serialed numbers (ie: IMG_0012393 or Image_9329342 or DSC_349230925)

Exif tag remover to remove all Exif Info.

Done

rebel 05-22-2011 11:39 PM

just wondering if anyone else out there uses GarageSale (for mac). I use it, and it has its own hosting service and seems to be ok

jakeandharvey 06-21-2011 05:27 AM

All this stuff needs to be in the Stealth guide.

zmajns 06-21-2011 06:44 AM

Just use EXIF tag Remover - just kills all data

mercurial333 06-30-2011 07:04 PM

Is using EXIF Tag Remover 4.1 and then using different imagehosting sites to upload the pictures 100% sure to remove all information?

Does it get rid of the GPS location as well?
