Did I just open myself to be linked?
I have two computers in my home. And I made a point not to log into my former suspended account. As a matter of fact, I logged out of my former eBay account.
I turned my modem off for the night and in the morning I had a fresh, clean, unused IP address.
I turned Computer #1 on, downloaded a new browser, and signed into my new stealth eBay account. I watched the video "How to sell on eBay" to make like I'm a new user. And I stayed logged in as I know it registered that cookie.
I went to Computer #2 and noticed that there was an eBay bookmark. Knowing that i had logged off last night, I clicked on it, just to see if I could log on to it it with my new stealth account. To my surprise, my OLD eBay account came up, ALREADY SIGNED IN, and I immediately thought that maybe that was a bookmark that had a "save password" on it. So my old eBay account was on with Computer #2 while my stealth eBay account was logged onto Computer #1. I quickly logged out of my old account (was on for maybe 30 seconds), but still it was there.
Have I doomed myself to getting linked?
On Computer #2, I have NEVER logged onto it with my stealth.
Does eBay link accounts due to cookies (which would not be a match) or due to logins (which would not be a match) or due to a matched IP address (which IS a match)?
