Just got the news on the etsy payment mandate. Annoying AF.

A couple of mine probably wont be affected, but 2 for sure will be going bye-bye.

Looks like some people have had success with stealth DC.

I will be keeping my eyes peeled and maybe do some experimenting of my own as the clock ticks closer....

Looks like the CEO of Etsy got fired. They are also laying off some staff.

This consolidation to etsy payments is probably to increase the fees they can collect instead of those going to Paypal. A short term solution to a long term problem. But when companies go public it is all about the short term generally speaking.

My shop was closed in 2013. Using all the helpful info found here, I was able to reopen and have been running a successful shop ever since. Like many, I am in a bit of a panic about DC. Looking over my info, I am thinking I just may be ok. Is there anyone here (Gladiator?) that would be willing to let me message them and giving me their opinion if I'm ok?

@gladiator please message me with any info for direct checkout. Really freaking out. Have been using standalone paypal because I was shut down by Etsy. How would I bypass the ssn#? How about bank info?

I'm super happy it's worked so far. I hope they don't change their system to ever catch this, but for now everyone should be doing good.

So the change has been pushed back to MA-Y 31st.

Gives everyone a little more time to get their **** in order. Glad for that.
Really makes you think WTF is Etsie doing? lol
